Forgive me if this has already been suggested, but shouldn't we do a "write in" to our Federal MP's protesting this move by PC? If every geocacher wrote his or he representative, cc'd to the PC Minister, Stéphane Dion, and this list, we might apply some pressure from the political side. Of course, they current events on Parliment Hill are not conducive to getting anyone to listen, but individual MP's will be looking for support and are therefore going to listen if they get multiple complaints from constituents. For what it's worth and hoping I am going over old ground.

The street detail for small towns is quite good actually. I have a sales related job and drive all over Ontario. The maps aren't perfect, but have been useful and compared to continually buying paper maps, economical. For real time GPS use, it has an irritating delay of 15 seconds, but that can be overcome by third party patch.

Same problem with my new Toshiba laptop from work. There are several makes, but I purchased the PalmConnect USB kit. Made to allow the connection of the Palm serial cradle to a USB, it works just fine with Garmin cables and other units needing a converter.
