  1. Yes, but this is a specific type. I'm looking for the name.... It's not a Vigenère cipher, but some other kind.
  2. You will have to pardon Starbrand. He must be new here. I have found several caches on cars. All you need to do is park it for at least 3 months while the cache is attached to it. GCRXRQ was a cache hidden in an old abandned car in the woods.
  3. The center of Alabama is a virtual "Right in the Middle of Things"
  4. I don't get this. If the containers arrived damaged, I would have returned for a refund.
  5. I've encountered police many times, and they are usually understanding and friendly. Sometimes neighbors or nearby property owners can cause problems as they see the activity out their window, etc. A property owner approached me last week and even though he had given permission for the cache he was still furious that I was on HIS LAND! I guess it wasn't explained to him that people would actually come seeking the cache.
  6. Indeed. On a recent trip to a "poor" area in Mississippi I found that there were no caches within 15 miles of my hotel.
  7. You could fix the problem yourself. You could log Needs Maintenance. You could log Should Be Archived. You could let it go and not worry about someone else's cache.
  8. I don't usually rush for FTF, but I do cache a lot and therefore get the occasional FTF. Just got my most recent one about 4 days ago.
  9. Congrats on getting your first cache published.
  10. Personally, I like geocaches. I have no preference. They are all fun.
  11. Finding the cache is easy, but sometimes getting out of the woods and finding your car isn't.
  12. I don't think I would place a cache in an area that was not available all year long.
  13. Outstanding. That answers my question.
  14. I'm working on a puzzle cache and am half way there. I'm in the USA where coordinates are N and W, but the puzzle yields a coordinate set that is S and E, or basically the opposite side of the earth. How would one go about converting a coordinate set to the exact opposite side of the earth?
  15. May be a signature item with a cacher's home coords??
  16. I usually cache paperless with a PDA but at times I cut and paste into a Word document and can fit 10 or more cache names/coords/hints on a single sheet of paper.
  17. Drive down here and get Huntsville Alphabet - X
  18. Post 6 above is the correct formula. Thanks, all.
  19. Phat Kurle, you are the man. THat's what I needed. Mod, please close topic.
  20. Ummmmm....... What would these convert to?? 46.166 and 37.847 I just don't get the complex equation?!?
  21. I've been on that site no less than 10 times. Can you tell me what to plug where? I think the whole number goes one place and the decimal another, but I can't get it right.
