I have mine activated, but I did that about 12 days ago, and has been logged over the weekend. I wonder if something happened with their activation in general?

I wanted to stop by the forums and say hi to every one. I live in Virginia in the Harrisonburg area. I just ordered an Explorist 400 since it can take SD cards and was not too expensive. I cannot wait to give this a try. I can't wait to get started.
I am also open to any suggestions or tips from every one.
So again hello every one
Welcome...I've been down wheelin' outside of Harrisonburg, but last time I looked, there weren't many caches in our area between there and the WVA line. Beautiful area. Welcome to the obsession...

PA actually has nine CITO's for the year so far. There was one back in February:
YCGS Adopt-a-Highway by YCGS (GC10D4A)

C# or VB.Net? 1.1 or 2.0?
By the error logs, I would Guess C# and .NET v1.1, and most likely a MS SQL back end...

Wow -- I was pleasantly surprised to see to replies from fellow Punxsutawney-ites! I'll have to try that new one along the Shadow Trail sometime soon (assuming that's the one Peachy is talking about). I was just up that way the other day, but I rarely have enough time to do much caching when I'm back home!
The one you really need to try is Hope You Have All Day placed by a new cacher named gunfix_r. It's a 4.5/4.5!
I've looked at that one. Can't wait until I can roadtrip down that way. He also has placed one near clarion, Vortex Cache. Not quite as tough, but looks real fun.

Naw, I can read just about anybody's writing as long as it looks like mine...chicken scratch...
You were able to read my writing? You must be a pharmacist!
Congratulations...I've seen many a cache signed by you!
Here's to another 1000!

I think this is the way its done. I might be wrong but....
They are sorted by day. Then if you have multiple finds for that day, start at the bottom(of that day) and work up. They should be in the order in which you logged them.
It use to be this way but not sure if it is still is.
Shilo
It seems to work this way, unless you log your finds over the midnight threshold. When I did this, it was listed as bottom up, but in two distinct sections. order from bottom up went something like this 11-15, 1-10, when logged in order from 1-15.

From the Weekly Mailer:What IS Jeep doing to Sponsor the International CITO day?"Thanks to this year's sponsor, Jeep, we are able to offer the official CITO 2007 t-shirt at a substantial discount for geocachers."
Thank you for the reply...didn't see that in the mailer...hmmm...gonna have to go back and look harder...

We recieved ours in the mail today...they are awesome! Thanks!

Since the tribe is NOT nonprofit, wouldn't placing a cache there be forbidden b/c of the commercial cache placement rule?

I didn't think much about it till you mentioned it, but it does seem like caches with nice pages tend to be good caches. Doesn't mean the ones with short one are by default, lame.
I think generally, the person that puts extra time on the cache page will put extra time on their caches as well.
I have to agree with this statement. My lesser quality, personal hides have short descriptions, my "best caches" have long descriptions.
Me too...my newest one, (no find, but a DNF) is huge, but a micro that was my first hide, and borderline lame has a short description...

Decoys are ok, no need to mention it on the cache page. I don't see the logic in "replacing" a cache that was "missing" with out contacting the owner first under any circumstance.
I took a friend from work out to hit up a few caches since he was interested in the hobby. After a couple decent hikes we decided to do one that I had already done, it ended up missing from the spot (a micro at a historic spot in town). At no point did I think to replace it. There was a needs maintainence note written on the cache page, the owner archived it, and another cacher replaced it with a new twist. IMO that was the easiest way to deal with a missing cache, and the numbers people get another number.

Didn't have a chance to think about attending since our first event was a CITO and has 38 people show up. We were too busy coordinating the cleanup to worry about being shy.

There is a cache over near where I live that is GCHEVY. I don't own a Chevy, but thought it was a cool WP name.

Have you ever done a Reverse (Locationless) cache? That could be it.

ITS SNOWING AGAIN!
Yup...they are calling for 3-5 here today, another 2-4 tonight, and another 1-2 tomorrow...Gotta love how we always seem to get a snowfall every year around St. Patty's day.
Heh, they are saying anywhere from 10 to 24 inches here! Depending on who you listen to for your weather anyway Allmost all of them are saying 1-2 inches an hour though... Which it looks like its just now starting to get to that point of 1+ inch an hour...
I'm in the NW part of the state, and work on the OH/PA border. It's snowing here, but we aren't supposed to get the brunt of it.

What does picking up trash and crud have to do with the farse of Global Warming?
If you believe in Global Warming, wouldn't all the vehicle emissions from racing around the US do far more to contribute to what people believe causes this than ANY amount of trash that could be picked up?

I'm running 7.0.2 build 20 on Vista Ultimate. I reinstalled Vista on my Dell E1705 after formatting the hard drive in Novemeber and haven't had any issues. I installed GSAK and have had no issues using my PPC, gsak and my 60CS. I'm not getting any problems other than a few pop ups asking if i wanted to run the programs, but only once, and never again. I haven't seen any decrease in performance, although from what I have read, older machines will see the decrease, and newer ones wont.
I agree that you shouldn't upgrade to the new OS unless you have a new machine or are buying/building one. I use it b/c I'm in software developement and i'm always on the bleeding edge.

This has been happening for a while, and is intermittent. I believe a work around that works most of the time is to change the number allowed on a page and it will reload correct.
My guess is that the bookmark pages are still riddled with 'hobby code'.

I'm going to go ahead and toot my own horn here and say...
Team Guyute1210 found their 300th cache after hosting the 2nd Annual Oil Creek State Park CITO event, at The Wickedest Geocache East of the Mississippi (GCJX4Q)
