  2. I just started Path tag trades, and find travel bugs stamped in the mailers. Do they sell stamps like that or do I have to buy the travel bug, then get stamp made? any info on this would be awesome Thanks Firemanak Fairbanks, Alaska
  3. We are a group of Fairbanks Cachers who have come together to hang out, cache, do meet and greets. We will be holding educational classes, and events. Please contact firemanak on geocaching.com
  4. Every event we hold here in Alaska, if you look on the phone apps, it shows it one day before the event. I don't think all of us, have our settings wrong, wrote 3 emails to Groundspeak, and haven't heard anything back yet. We did have one cacher miss the event due to this. please fix it, or tell us how to fix it. love the iphone application, the new update freezes alot, is there a way to go back to the old version?   5. It's Fall time in Fairbanks Alaska, come hang out with us, on September 15th, at 1pm at Creamers field by the barn. We are going to have a competition on way points. Come play have fun with us.
  6. First ever International Geocaching Day Potluck and BBQ. Every cacher is invited to celebrate this great event. Be prepared to "Trash Out"- cleaning up the banks of the Chena River behind the Carlson Center. Bring gloves and proper footwear. Bags will be provided. Gazebo is scheduled from 4-8p Alaska standard time. Please bring a dish; as this is the first event ever held like this in Fairbanks. Hotdogs and bottled water provided. There will also be a presentation on basic gps use and pocket queries. Prizes and awards will be given to those who: -Traveled the furthest for the event -Have been caching the longest -Newest cacher -Youngest cacher -Most caches found -Most caches hidden This is a family friendly event, so please bring stories to share. If you have extra supplies such as pins, containers, logs etc.; you would like to swap, bring those too.... the more fun the better. Schedule of events: 4:00 - 4:30 - Meet at "Ground Zero" 4:30 - 5:30 - Trash OUT 5:30 - 6:30 - Eating and GPS Presentations 6:30 - 8:00 - Awards and Stories RSVP with your will attend log. Include the number of attending in your party so we have accurate count for hot dogs and water.
  7. Forest-ghost placed my Alaskan coin in the geocache back 10/12/11. It hasn't moved since, But the cache is repeatly found. Can someone tell me if this coin is still there? Thanks Firemanak Fairbanks Alaska
  8. After I posted this, I read the logs for Gator Bait, and seems soon after I left, all the trackables where taken and never logged. so sad, had two gone missing Thanks anyway
  9. I am looking for someone in the area of Ft Polk, who caches. I left a travel bug there 8/29/2011. It hasn't moved. Was hoping someone in that area could go to Gator Bait and take a look see if it's still there or if someone removed it and didn't log it. Thank you From Alaska firemanak
