  1. Thanks for your input! Just wasn't sure on the etiquette for this. Look forward to some new waymarks, particularily in the Airport, Fountain and Musician Statues (it IS Mozart-Mania) categories in Italy/Austria!
  2. Is it necessary to always have access to a waymark you create? For example, I am going on a trip to Europe in a few weeks and would like to add a few new waymarks if I see an opportunity. It will be years before I get another chance to be there. Is it acceptable to add a waymark, or should I just find the few that allready exist? EDIT: typo...
  3. ...You can't wait for your school band's trip to Italy and Austria because... sure Mozart's cool, but think of all those geocaches! ...And you've forced the other members in your group to pick certain free time options to find geocaches/waymarks without leaving the boundaries. ...And have devised plans on how to leave said boundaries to find the rest of them. ...And you've converted a few new geocachers in the process.
  4. It took us SO long to figure out what that meant... a few years of driving through the U.P past "Da Yooper's Tourist Trap..." Anyways... bandgeek is just one of my many nicknames. Most of them are camping related, but geocaching is pretty outdoorsy so I decided to pick a music name.
  5. I'm still in Girl Guides (Canadian version of Girl Scouts). This is my 11th year, I'm a ranger and a Junior Leader in a Brownie group... I get to see them tonight, they're so cute...
  6. When you went into detail, that's what popped into my mind. I know it's bad quality and probably won't work anyway, so if anyone wants to fix it up/use the idea, go ahead. Wow, GeoLizz... that's amazing! And that was also really fast. Thanks so much!
  7. Is anyone good at drawing? I would love a picture of signal playing the trumpet.. maybe wearing sunglasses or something. I have so many ideas, but music is my thing, not visual arts!
  8. Going to Europe on a school trip in April, and had a brainstorm of how to do this. There are a few micros in very busy sightseeing areas that we wanted to find. There are over 100 students going on the trip, so the plan is to get a group of 10 people or so, and once we've narrowed down the location of the micro, have them pose for your typical touristy group picture. Then I crawl around behind all of them and retrieve the cache!
  9. I can get around pretty well in french, did the whole french immersion thing. It sounds like a great idea with the in-store and virtual options. Now if only the contest was a month later, just one month, I'd be old enough.
  10. Just curious- How do you do a tracklog in google earth? It looks... very cool.
  11. Snowshoes!!! Wool socks, LED lights and a toque. I love Christmas
