  1. Yes, I read that the radio isn't that great, but I got it for free... so I'm not complaining. I've begun to immediately turn it off when I turn on the unit to save on the batteries. So far my coords have gotten me within about 5-7 feet of the few caches I've found, so that's good too. I just talked a friend into buying a eTrex Legend yesterday though after showing him what Geocaching is all about.
  2. Dang, I just found this thread... if anyone ordered an extra one or two, please let me know.
  3. I think the idea of a relatively tough hike and find, kind of like adults only, and having some things worth finding is cool. The kids enjoy little plastic toys, but after climbing hills, rocks, mountains... it be nice to be a little better rewarded. Don't take this as a huge complaint, I'm a newbie and I'm definately going after all the caches I can find. But check this cache out near Napa, CA. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...b1-bab35f7dbabc
  4. I got a Rino 120 last winter with no manual and no accessories except a wrist strap. It has taken me a while to actually sit down and learn how to use it. The settings were all jacked up. Now that it's actually working, and I'm moving ahead for Geocaching... what can this thing really do or not do? What programs or accessories does any and everyone recommend? Any and all inputs on the Rino 120 accepted. Thanks!!
  5. After one week and really only 2 partial days of searches, I can tell you that I feel better. I'm not generally very active after a couple of motorcycle and work related accidents, but 2 of the finds I went to this week gave me quite a workout. Now my body aches... but my body feels good, make sense out of that one. As out of shape as I am, I am seeking the mid range terrain finds, and hoping for pleasant/quiet areas. So, Geocaching hasn't changed my life... YET, but I think it might!!!
  6. Thanks for all the input, I have a bid on one at Ebay... several are there for the taking if anyone else is looking. Most are around $10. I bid on the first one I saw & I have 4 more days with my $15.50 bid plus $6 shipping. I am not a patient person. Oh well...
  7. Leirplass... that's exactly what I need!!! I'll send you $20 plus shipping right now if you wanna end the auction.
  8. Thanks, I did see cables and adapters on Garmin's website but they are way too expensive. I'll check Best Buy...
  9. Just like the title says, I need the Rino 120 PC interphase cables... they are too d**m expensive to buy new!!!
  10. I'm looking for some PC connection cables for my Rino 120. If you have any you'd be willing to part with, or know where I can get them cheaply... please let me know.
