  1. I know it's not Wrexham but how about Wepre Park if there's a few of you going. The Devils Flute is great fun and there's a couple of other caches there as well as kiddies playground (Ellies cache / Castle View). If you get finished there you can always do a few around Hawarden just down the road as well.
  2. !!!Well done to you all from The West Viewers and Horrid Henry!!!!
  3. Big congrats to Kiwi Gary, our tent guest last weekend at The Big Freeze who successfully found his1000th cache. We had no doubts whatsoever that you'd do it before departing our shores. Not forgetting Margaret of course who's accompanied you to many many of your finds. Good luck with the caching in NZ.
  4. We're up for that with Horrid Henry. We had a great time this year! Did you say it was going to be down in Devon or round there somewhere this time.
  5. Well done Lolly, Bob and Mark. Hope there'll be plenty more to follow.
  6. Wow! We could only dream about doing that many in a day. Congrats guys and gals.
  7. Think I can put up with a bit of rain, just no gales pleeeezzzzeeee We'd second that one as we'll be sporting our new replacement tent for the weekend and wouldn't want that to go the same way as the last one!
  8. The West Viewers and Horrid Henry would love to attend. This is all getting very organised for next year. Great idea!
  9. Wd'd love to come along with Horrid Henry. Not bothered about leccie hookup though.
  10. I've been talked into attending in the hopefully not too freezing cold! Just need to get hold of the site to book now. Does anybody know of any shops still selling disposable bbq's at this time of year? If we can't find one we may have to try and borrow a corner of somebody elses if that's OK. At least we'll once again have a proper sized tent for the event but unfortnately that means I can't use the size of the tent as an excuse for crawling / staggering into it late at night!
  11. We've met a few along the way, probably about the average number though from reading this: - Marigaux Toby (as we were stuck along an obscure farmers track that nobody else would use!), - Simply Paul in Regent's Park, - John Stead writing on the cache log and a new family along with Wirral Way who appeared to be having a little difficulty so we didn't like to disturb them! - Oh and we were just driving off from a cache when Bess's Friends where pulling up so a very near-miss.
  12. Oh, I believe I may be one of the newest members of the geobabes with my newly entwined bracelet presented to me just this Sunday...........
  13. Not finished this year's camping events off yet but we'd certainly be interested subject to time off etc.
  14. Congratulations John & Sue. That's some finds to have under your belt. Hope you've managed to mend the tent pole by now.
  15. That's got to be worth a celebration. Congratulations Jolly Jax.
  16. Great idea! Would it be possible to break the list down by counties and even countries as well?
  17. I think we were one of a few unlucky ones losing a tent (along with Jan & The Percy Boys & the Ageing Hippy at least) with broken poles, numerous rather large rips etc. I've never been able to actually step through a hole in my tent before but there's always a first time for everything! Anyway the whole lot ended up in the skip in disgust. We'll also have lost space to move around in next weekend when all 3 of us will be huddled up in the somewhat smaller tent.
  18. Oh they look nice. E-mail sent to order / reserve.
  19. Congratulations Ian & Dawn. Carry on caching!
  20. What about camping events, where you need to camp to attend? (as the sites often have restrictions on visitors) - are these not listable as events. Has this one been answered? Surely aren't all camping events still open to all geocachers as nothing is stopping them buying or even borrowing a tent.
  21. We're looking to get to 300 by our 1st anniversary in September. It would be good to have a go at placing our 1st cache as well.
