  1. Thanks Dave. Have popped notes on some of the caches. There's a couple we're not sure if they're actually there still from the logs so we'll check them out. Just out of interest how do you adopt a cache?
  2. Dave, if it's agreeable to Mafarrimond it would be nice if we could take some of these over to keep them going. Would that be possible before I make the offer to Maureen? If not we can pick-up the following: Rhydymwyn Ramble, Haunted House, Northop Heritage Park, Milwr & The Tunnel, Pentre Halkyn, Tempus Fugit in Nerwys, Snookered, Phoenetics, King Arthur Kicks Off (if still there), Mendelsson & The Rivulet, The Mill on the Hill, Hope Faith & Charity and Gladstone's Its in the Bag
  3. Given the response to the many times this has come up in the main forums I would guess that the answer is "very little" Even (especially?!) Reviewers are limited to 500 cache PQ's. Sorry. Great point. I was thinking that myself. You could get the whole of the UK in a relatively small number of PQs which would certainly save on the amount of e-mail traffic.
  4. We're up for this one as well, along with little wee Sean.
  5. I'm going to Cuba in May. I too have concerns about the GPSr Customs thing. Is this true? Anyone know? It makes sense with GPS being US technology and I seem to recall that the US and Cuba aren't the best of buddies! If it is true, I am wondering about buying a cheap GPSr in CASE it should get seized. I don't want to risk my 60CS, but I can't go to another country and NOT get a cache! You can't find any caches if you've been arrested for espionage using a GPS
  6. And we've got a few chuffing hills for you to walk up as well Hazel. And we're doing quite well getting through the list of TM caches filling our closest to home as well.
  7. That's easy to sort. Just send it back to Garmin who have excellent Customer Service and will often replace with a new unit for free.
  8. Well done to you all. Hope you got your dinner on time as well!
  9. As per the request on the cache page, I'm logging Horrid Henry's preference for 2nd August as we don't let him come and play on the forums.
  10. It may not help everybody but megabus / megatrain are very cheap. We've booked from Chester in the North West to London for £1 each way in December. The standard train fare would have been about £40 each so we made a fair saving. Look at www.megabus.co.uk for more info.
  11. Perhaps the length of the event could be one of the items discussed. If it was held from a Saturday until the following Sunday that could give people the option to attend or one or the other weekend or plan to make a holiday of it and stay for the whole time.
  12. Not forgetting Liverpool airport as well if it was up Peak District / Manchester way which has flights from many European locations. I'm sure there'd be a few offers of lifts from the airports as well if any where needed.
  13. Well done guys. Glad we could help you on a few
  14. Wow well done all of you, you're certainly getting through them now. See you soon.
  15. Another one for the list: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...48-2687defe6093 GC1539J as we pledge earlier in the year.
  16. Mark, we may be possibles. I'll let you know later. Max
  17. I think Team Marzipan might have them after the Hilbre Island event up here. I'll get in touch with them and see if they have definitely got them and try to get hold of them to bring them down.
  18. Well done Alison. Hopefully most of them were in better weather than we were in at the weekend
  19. That's an easy one. It certainly looks like a certain Kiwi gentleman named Gary.
  20. We ordered some for ourselves and Horrid Henry before Christmas when they were on special offer from www.pathtags.com. I think they have offers on the starter kits every now and again and they're really handy for leaving as swap items at caches. If you've bought some then you can trade on-line and build up a collection with other owners. We'd love to trade with anyone else around. Our tag numbers are # 5154 and 5208 (Horrid Henry's tag).
  21. Whoops system timed out whilst submitting this one and didn't download it all. Please could you close this post off as there's another one the same open. Thanks Max
  22. Big congratulations to Dawn and Ian who've found their 2 th cache today whilst on their rather soggy hols
  23. John says couldn't possibly be him, he's tea-total and he's really not that random!
  24. Thanks everyone. Please note that we won't turn down all of those congratulatory drinks coming our way Really dodgy fellas loitering at the bunker cache. Reckon they were having a rave down there and not inviting us!
