Thanks for the replies! Seems we're doing it right.

I want to be sure I log information correctly. Of all the geocaches I've found so far, 2 had issues. 1) One was missing altogether except for the lid (go figure). I didn't post a log as "Found it!" on my iPhone, but rather as "Needs Maintenance". Was this the correct way to go? Does someone check on the "Needs Maintenance" items? 2) The other is one that had an issue is, even though I found it and logged it as "Found it!", it needs maintenance as well. The plastic cover is falling apart (weathered) -- it is only a matter of time before it's no longer waterproof. Seems that once I have logged it as "Found it!" I don't seem to also have an option for maintenance as well. (seems to be only one choice?) Thanks for your replies! We're enjoying it!

I just downloaded this to my iPhone as well. Loving it !!! (It helps if you "close" the geo app when you're done so it doesn't suck your battery so dry ..) We went out for the first time yesterday. We found 3 out of 3. Is there a place online where we log our finds? We did write our names down in the notebooks in each geocache.
