  1. Congrats to The Dillon Gang for hitting 1900 today.
  2. Bummer you didn't do this on Saturday.. We mainly hit caches that were fairly close to parking. Let me know if you want to go tomorrow and do the rest by bike. I still want to go out tomorrow but don't feel to good at the moment so I plan to sleep in at least a little (or else I would have tried to meet Flagman also).
  3. Sounds like you guys had fun. Wish I could have made it but I haven't perfected that being in two places at one time thing. Anyone have any plans for later this evening or tomorrow?
  4. I feel bad the route influenced your decision not to join us. That was not my intention. You can join us down into the canyon and return when we start going up just prior to VDKV. There should also be plenty of lignt then to afford a lit return. To recap, meet 6p at end of Corte Playa Catalina, at N32 50.258 W117 04.617. leaving work now. will see if I can pick up a green jeep to bring with me.
  5. count me in for tonight - what is the planned meeting time? 6pm
  6. I'm still trying to figure out what ones on that map that i still need to do. I need mainly the ones nearest/on South Fortuna, the ones near the 52, and two in the middle (South Amarillo and One Small Step). What route do you plan on taking?
  7. looks like I missed your post by a few minutes. Met up with Team Adelos and Miragee this afternoon and we wandered around.
  8. caching. somewhere at some point in time!
  9. So are we still going to attempt this one tonight? Anybody else interested in grabbing a few caches before meeting up for BBG? I overslept and missed the outing earlier We didn't make it out of the canyon on time to get over there. I think I wore my legs out also. Did anyone end up trying for it? I am also willing to give out my cell number if someone ever wants to meet the group (if I am with them). I would have given DaMores a call this afternoon but didn't have his number....
  10. 56 / Ted Williams Parkway on the map, Trailgators posted, you need to enter the Park and Ride from Evening Creek Dr N.
  11. not to discourage anything with Black Beard's Grotto but here is a couple pieces of info that is good to know before going out for it.... -most websites show that low tide is between 6:20-6:30 http://facs.scripps.edu/cgi-bin/plottide.pl 2006-07-29 6:29 PM PDT 2.15 feet Low Tide this is a picture a group took when it was a 1.3 foot low tide so you will get wet! bring towels and maybe a change of clothes.
  12. Team Adelos and I are meeting up Sunday afternoon around 2pm. We hadn't picked anywhere specific yet but he will be at the airport and I will be near Hillcrest at the time.
  13. How about adding in Dits1 & 2, Blase Clever Rebuttals, and Poke-cache?
  14. I can help out also. Weekends are best for me but I can ditch work if needed.
  15. doh, you beat me by a few minutes.
  16. I am curious about this new "As the Cow Flies" series. Would there need to be a catapult in the story?
  17. I ran across that sticker due to the coord checker listed at the bottom of alot of the newer puzzle cache pages. http://www.sissy-n-cr.com/
  18. I got the same email from him. I already responded that I would be willing to take them. (of course I thought I offered that in my first email ).
  19. This should probably be mandatory for most of us.
  20. I posted a couple photos on the San Diego thread earlier today. The damage is minimal and easily avoided (no caches were lost) I saw those. Looks like the fire didn't get too much. It looks like the plan is to meet tonight at ~4:35 at Hazard Center. We are planning on wandering north hitting those unkown caches on the way.
  21. Here are a couple parks that you guys may not have done yet (aside from Miragee since I can't find an area she hasn't been in yet ) that aren't too far of a drive north since it will probably be around rush hour. I haven't looked at the caches in the areas yet, just looking at google earth. Tecolote Canyon Marian Bear Park (just don't back into the parking space ) Mount Soledad Natural Park Penasquitos Canyon (as long as the fire didn't damage too much) Black Mountain
  22. http://www.ombac.org/over_the_line/index.html from a random news article. "Organizers said some 20,000 spectators and players showed up at the Fiesta Island event and a total 50,000 are expected over the course of the two-weekend tournament, which is known for its raunchy team names, female chest flashers and alcohol-fueled participants and spectators."
  23. Same here, I think Richard was wanting to hit out there too. TA Is there any section of South Bay that jahoadi and john haven't cleared yet? I went caching with them in Bonita on Sunday and the only caches they needed were the puzzles!
  24. When I visited The Reaper the other day they were setting up for some big event there on the Island, so I actually took some of the surrounding sand and debris and practically covered it because I knew there would be a ton of people there. Was anything salvaged or is it all just gone? I was warned to avoid the Island this weekend since the Over the Line tournament was going on. So did anyone hear the name of the team that won and can it be repeated with kids around?
  25. I'll probably be leaving here in a little over an hour to wander around and hit some puzzle caches. If anyone else is bored, they are welcome to come along or drag me somewhere else. next group outing will probably be next weekend. Unless the temperature comes down, we will probably be near the coast again.
