I am using a Garmin E Trex for geo caching. I have enabled the WAAS/EGNOS mode, well EGNOS as i am using GPS in the UK. The accuracy has improved considerably, down to 2m at times. My question is that when i get a signal down to 2-3m it says DIFF:2m, what does the DIFF mean or stand for?
Also is there any way i can improve signal strength when under tree cover? A lot of Geo cachers tend to hide caches in woodland and i find it frustrating when you struggle for a signal.
I've noticed that on the Garmin website there is a download available for the E Trex it mentions that this can improve signal reception? Does anyone know if this is worth downloading??
I would be gratful for anybodys help with these questions
Thanks for your help
