Sorry, I should have posted that I exclusively use my smartphone with the app. I was aware of the +-180° trick, but try walking a quarter mile in a given direction in a dense hilly forest. It took me quite a few attempts to reach the next stage, as I was always off. I just feel the function should be included in the same app. It defeats the concept of programming having to rely on multiple applications.

I have found a number of caches, especially multicaches, which require waypoint projection in order to find the next target. Since a middle stage of a cache is typically hidden, this would either require me to go online and find a website to input current coordinates, bearing and distance (not feasible in the field) or use pen and paper and a number of difficult formulas. This would be a very useful feature in the Android or iPhone app when adding new waypoints. Does anybody agree?
