  3. Are you attaching some mini Pepper coins to it ? Yuppers...one in each square. Four little blings silver and gold. I took the quilt to my mom's house this morning to show here my handy work and she wanted it ...I had to tell her no. (bad daughter) I'm getting really excited, so excited I went out and bought a brick of batteries Pepper
  4. Ok I'm getting a bit excited now I only 48 hours left to prepare and then...I'm leaving on a jet plain... Talk about procrastinating, I just finished my contribution to the raffle. It's a throw silly (if you’re wondering) 54W x 65L, by the time it gets on the raffle table it will have some small Pepper bling attached. See y'all in Cali Pepper
  5. Sure they do... eBay auction 1 eBay auction 2 More power to them looks to me like they know the market very well. Seems like a pretty savvy business move if you ask me. Absolutely beautiful coin, great job! I did not get one because of the no paypal issue. Pepper

  9. Not sure if I'm brave enough to make such a statement because I can only speak for myself not most people. Cacher! coin dabble-er My introduction to geocaching was in March of 2001 by a friend (xsintrik), it wasn't until a year later that we (a family of 5) could afford a GPS. Then it was on, I was addicted from the jumpstart! I was introduced to geocoins in late 2002 in California; I found a "Joy of Caching" geocoin. Of course I had no idea it was a geocoin because I had never even heard the term geocoin. That "Joy of Caching" geocoin puzzled me, I did not know what it was, where it came from, what it meant, who made it, nor did I know why. So of course the next cache I found I dropped it as a trade, who knows for what probably something for one of my twins. When I moved to Redmond WA in January of 2003 it didn't take long for me to find out about this Moun10Bike cacher person...along with his highly sought after "geocoins". It was then I put two and two together and remembered that "Joy of Caching" geocoin I had found months prior. I ask my husband "SuperGenius" if I could have some personal geocoins...his first response was huh, after I explained he said sure, after you cache for another year then we'll talk about it. So I cached for another year all the while having a blast caching and chasing Moun10bike coins. In January of 2004 I asked again, by March 2004 I had my first personal geocoin SuperGenius/Pepper in the works. After my first year or so of geocoin addiction I found myself slowly pulling away realizing geocaching to me was about the caches not the coins. I couldn't wrap my head around the two going hand in hand because that's not the way it was when I first started geocaching. Now when we get new geocachers the two (geocoins and geocaching) do go hand in hand, if they please. I had to get myself in check because it was turning into a HUGE expense, it was fast changing and losing its appeal (to me) as I first knew it. I was stuck in the mindset that it should stay the way it was when I first stated collecting. I could not get past or accept the ever changing face of geocoins so I backed out of geocoins (except for my own personal ones) and carried on geocaching. I did continue to place my coins in caches as gifts and still do. I have now come to accept the new face of geocoins and realized it was I that needed to change my way of thinking. Geocoins has morphed into what it is today and from the looks of things they are here to stay "Cool". How I chose to play the coin game is the same as others choosing the way they play their caching game. I am easing my way back into geocoins very carefully, slowly and very picky. Just like I can pick and choose what caches I do, I can also pick and choose what geocoins I want or don't want. I'm not going to try and push my views on others it's not my place! Rather it is a side hobby for some or an obsession for others it’s each individuals decision to make, it does not make is right or wrong nor does it make them better or worse of a person. I would think it would depend on how much money they have in their wallet and it's their wallet! Any old way I'm a cacher girl always have been always will be....come on milestone #5000 and I'm patiently waiting on my new non-trackable 2007 geocoin. Pepper

So Ms Pepper and I plan to cache our way South from Ontario shortly after picking up the rental car. First and foremost the most important thing LadeBear68 if you plan on getten' close enough to the cute pandas to get arrested...make dern sure you have some of those numbers on your cell phone memorized...very important! 17. When did the thread go from Anthus being upset about somebody having un-numbered coins on their trading site to selling these un-numbered coins for profit? I've seen it stated a few times...this does not seem to be case here. Sticking to pure fact seems totally fair, but speculation seems to be a smear campaign. Why? These folks have said they/he made a mistake and are working to fix it.
  18. Well if Groundspeak was unaware of the practice it would serve them right to have Groundspeak end their contract to mint the Signal coins with them. Who said anthing about Groundspeak ending their contract with them? Why would you say such a thing if you don't have facts on such a statement. Untill Bryan says otherwise how can you and why would you put words in his/their mouth. This seems to be only speculation on your part....sorry that just struck me as passing on uninformed information. Pepper I am not putting words in anyone mouth...I said it would serve them (The Geocoin Store) right if Groundspeak chose to end the Signal coin contract with them. It merely is a statement. I never implied that Groundspeak was taking any action in this nor did I imply that Groundspeak did not know the extra (floater) coins existed. They may know all about it and be very happy. Never in any part of my above statement did I say that any person was taking any action. Please read my statement careful before you put words in my mouth. My bad...I stand corrected, thanks for opening my eyes...not near enough coffee for this old gal this morning. I'm sorry y'all no hard feeling ok? I just totally disagreed with your opinion saying “it would serve them right to have Groundspeak end their contract to mint the Signal coins with them”. I am of the opinion it would not serve them right…what’s right about that…a perceived mistake was made they/he is working to correct the situation. Pepper

This seems to be only speculation on your part....sorry that just struck me as passing on uninformed information. I’ve been watching this since last night, first thanks to Eartha for GREAT, SUPER, STUPINDIOUS moderating! I haven’t clue why and when it turned into an Atlanta Gal bashing thread…that was in my opinion wrong and derailed the OP topic very quickly. Seems to me that one of the fellers at the store in question did his best to explain the situation and mention that it would be fixed/addressed in the morning. Well it just now morning so maybe the community could be nice enough to give um a chance to fix community perceived mistakes. To me the store provides a greatly needed/wanted service or so many folks would not take that route in getting their coins produced. I for one have used Rusty on several projects and WILL continue to use him, and plan on dropping another project in his lap this morning…hehehe he does not know this yet. I am also working with the store to do my “5th anniversary coin”…very exciting. I am of the opinion in the end Anthus will get answers to all the questions he/she has, and any perceived wrongs will be addressed and handled in a manor that will make Anthus happy in the end. 22. When I moved back to Alvin, TX in May of 2005 there had been no caches placed here since 2003! That was unacceptable so I made it my mission to put Alvin on the caching map. I figured if I placed them somebody would come out and play with me…sure nuff it worked! Since then those original lame caches have either been archived or gone thru extreme makeovers. Ok to touch on the OP topic can you say Walmart, it was my first hide of that type…but I didn’t let stay around to long. Pepper
  23. I dunno young man I'm was gonna hold you accountable for the weather? Pepper
  24. That would be sweet to get a chance at one of those cute coins...I think I would like to have one, but I can only hope. Pepper
