  1. Seems to be the old Garmin 12 in a new case.
  2. Here is the answer (from sci.geo.satellite-nav) Message 2 in threadFrom: Art (ybike@hotmail.com) Subject: Re: How to Detatch GPS V antenna Newsgroups: sci.geo.satellite-navView this article onlyDate: 2001-11-13 19:01:37 PST If you turn the antenna straight down (I think it is down, I don't have it right here) and look at the back where it connects you will see a tab and a notch that you line up as you wiggle it out. About the Wrist Strap, yes, the D-ring is the place although I won't put it there.
  3. Hi LKN2MYIS I'm not sure I understood your question but I'm not sure you will understand my English anyway, :-) so let's try. We are talking about off road navigation, right? You said: "BUT . . . when I enter in a waypoint, what's the best way of tracking it?" Do you mean 'when you set a GOTO to that waypoint?' You can use the compass or the map page, it's your choice. In the map page with the zoom setup to 'auto' you will always have the next waypoint showed on the screen. You said: "ALSO . . is there any way of getting the page by page directions from a MANUAL route?" You mean the turn by turn directions? No. You said: "I would have thought there was a page that showed your waypoint and your destination or something, but that doesn't seem to happen." You can use the map page and configure the fields to show the name, distance, time, etc, to the next waypoint and/or to your destination. I can't figure what is the problem you are refering to. Hope this help.
  4. Gartrip seems to be a nice software but I have a Mac. I always have to ask to someone else to do my software upgrades :-).
  5. Is it possible to save different tracks to Mapsource, group all of them and send back to the GPS as one unique track? What I want is to simulate a more accurate 'map' using the saved track. Thanks
