  1. Actually, Dubya has spouted a bunch more caches. So, you wanna buy a coin for each of them?? LOL! JK
  2. If ANYONE deserves one of those LE coins, I DO! I'm a walking, talking accident waiting for a place to happen. Here are a few of my escapades (some have pix, some don't, but I'm posting the best "proof" picture ... I have proven that I can fall down ANWHERE, even the Texas House of Representatives Gallery! I'm constantly hanging a toe on a firmly affixed root or vine and doing a face plant ... but I'm really good at falling in creeks, too, no matter where we are. I jammed my wrist when I fell in this one, just one day after we had a rare snowfall in Austin! Here I am trying to dry out and hold my wrist still ... I still had the memory of that pain in my head when I fell and broke my arm, so I knew instantly that I'd done something a bit more spectacular this time. I had just changed my batteries, and was trying to catch up with Wayne and Trey while rebooting and finding the waypoint, and a durned old log about 18 inches in diameter got in the way. That's what I get for trying to walk and do something else at the same time! To commemorate my first ever broken bone, I held an event (of course it helped that I had nearly 500 ammo cans to get rid of, as well!), and geocachers from all over Texas showed up. Here's a picture of the clean cast, but it was well-covered with signatures by the end of the event. I still have the nasty thing stashed somewhere ... To add insult to injury, my first stitches came by way of a geocaching accident, too ... I wasn't watching what I was doing again and stepped on a very roly poly rock, came crashing down on another one with a sharp(ish) edge, and gashed my palm open. Never fear, though, Queen Zelda had not yet done her first cache with her new 4WD, so we kept going! I just tied it up with one of the bandannas I always have around, iced it down with another to lessen the pain, and headed off for some more caches. For the second time, it was hours before I finally went to the emergency room and got the needed ''maintenance''. What's next? I continue to hope it's never a broken leg ... they'd have to call in a chopper to rescue me! Keep watching! Or, dare I say, is my second childhood finally over???? Now, I'm off to claim my coin ... DEAR LORD, I HOPE I'M IN TIME!!!! Happy Trails, Candy
  3. message sent. A VERY SPECIAL coin!
  4. WHOOPS! Snoogans was still signed in to my computer! That was ME who tried to post that reply. Snoogans used my laptop while we were on our trip, and somehow he got logged off of the geocaching site but not the forums! LOL The shipments will be later than I anticipated because I was unable to get the invoices out before GW5. I have been trying to send them out today but PayPal has a server down so I've been unsuccessful. As soon as invoices are out and I start to get payments back, I'll start shipping (which means this coming Monday, most likely). For those of you who've ordered, if you haven't received an invoice by Sunday noon, please let me know so I can check my records! If you have NOT ordered, you still can; I have some of each metal left. I will be listing them on cointracking dot com soon and doing a couple of other things to market them, so get in line while they are still available! Happy Trails, Candy
  5. You not only have a reservation, but you paid for your order. Now THAT is GREAT news! LOL! It means that I can STILL say the only thing really critical that I lost in my hard drive crash was my file with all my userIDs and passwords! Knowing I managed to not screw up this coin order makes me VERY happy!
  6. OOH, CUTE! He has Bedroom Eyes! ROFL!! See you at GW5, hoping to be at coin deal on Friday.
  7. Please put me on the list for COPPER! GORGEOUS COIN! I must add ... THANKS TO YOU THREE for your service to the USA and for putting yourself in harms way to preserve our way of life. Happy Trails, Candy
  8. (I didn't look at the bottom of the thread!) Yep, One eyed bandit it is. winnings in the first peep, token slot in the second.
  9. I purchased my unit off eBay from a dealer who has B&M as well as an online store. I had no problem registering the unit. Be sure you ask if the seller is an authorized dealer AND what name would be listed for them on the Garmin website (there is a list of authorized dealers up there). They often use a different name on eBay or other auction sites. Hope that helps! Happy Trails,
  10. Chris nudged me for the mailing address today!! Are they that far along on the coin already??? WHOOOPPPPEEEEE!
  11. OK, so I haven't had enough sleep and I'm slow this morning! Explain to me? Coin is guitar-shaped, and the compass rose/swirl is on the back? Where will tracking # go? Text? zzzzzzz time for a nap ... Candy
  12. If you don't have the activation code, email CRAKE and I'm sure he'll help you with it. Are you certain the person you bought it from is the geocacher who owns it? I hate to bring up that possibility, but ... If I were the person who logged that coin, I suppose I would understand if you wanted to wipe the slate clean, but if it's my only bluebonnet coin activity, I might want a chance to discover it anew ... is that a possibility? I'm gonna have to go look and see what these are selling for, now that you brought it up! I might have an extra somewhere ... Happy Trails!
  13. Easy answer for this question ... I'M NOT!!!! I don't have that many coins yet, but I'm already having to do a lot of "electronic window shopping" ... watchlist on eBay, then miss the end of the bidding ... load up the cart at C&P, then empty it ... load up the cart at LandSharkz, then empty it ... load up the cart at HogWildStuff, then empty it ... you get my drift! It doesn't help that I'm unemployed and not looking hard enough! I think if I'm lucky enough to get to GW5 it'll be the last long trip I'll be taking for a while. I'll probably go crazy in the meantime! With that said, I can't give it up completely!! I ordered a bunch of Crikey! coins and a few Compass Roses when they went up at C&P on Sunday, and felt lucky to get them. Happy Trails,
  14. But he DOES have one! Right here in Central Texas. I think you'll like it.
  15. Shiny nickel 130 Shiny Gold 130 Antique Silver 100 Antique Gold 100 I didn't know the thickness before, it's 3mm. Like I said, nice heft! Chris (Rake, bless his heart!) is using BonJet. For all of you who liked the hard enamel gold, I'm keeping note of all that, and if I have enough sales, I will order some in other forms requested. Approx. 50% of the profits of this coin will be donated to the Texas Geocaching Association for operating expenses and special event subsidy. Coin codes will be obtained on the TXGA website. Did I forget anything else? Oh, someone asked when I expect them in hand ... I have high hopes that I will indeed be able to deliver a bunch at GW5, and as soon as possible after that I will mail the rest. I would say I should be able to get them out by month-end. I can do a lot of prep before I leave and I'll have two days to get them out after I get home. Candy
  16. I sure thought I had placed a reservation; I'll have to go back to "pre disk crash" data to try to check. Crossing fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes that I'm on the list! Happy Trails, Candy
  17. I guess my request for a "BS" prefix on the black sheep coins wouldn't have flown, either! LOL Maybe Bryan is touchy about how his name is spelled? Maybe the concept of ppl wiping their butts with the logo was what was unacceptable! LOL Maybe just put the logo on the "solid" side and leave the squares blank ... or write a cache log on them?? I hope they reconsider! Candy
  18. Sure beats using leaves, also ROFLOL! Especially if you don't know what Poison Ivy looks like! This is a staple in my cache gear. I'd be in for a couple. Happy Trails!
  19. LOL! I'm having LOADS of fun reading the posts and the emails I'm being sent! Please keep 'em coming. Tell your friends! My cachemobile will have to go in hock if I don't sell these coins! LOL! Candy
  20. Holding on to my subscription on this, and hoping to see it soon! However, I know how it can go, having just put my life on the line with the initial costs for my first coin. I'm ShAkInG In My BoOtS aNd My KnEeS aRe JeLlY! So I will keep this on my subscription list and be very patient until it's ready. Happy Trails, Candy "There's a Black Sheep in the Family!"
  21. I've been handed, and handed off in return, quite a few coins like this. I love seeing them, and seeing the people who've enjoyed them before me! It IS fun to find them in a cache, but it has to be a special cache to have a coin left in it and have it actually BE there for the next seeker, unfortunately! Happy Trails! Candy
  22. I don't think SEMIK and mda_taz frequent these forums, so I will tell their story. They had our friend Tygress help them design a coin as a memorial to his brother, who was killed by a drunk driver. I think the name was "A True Texas Cowboy". Anyway, they made enough to send some out travelling (yes, trackable), to gift to about 150 friends and family of his brother, and some to sell to finance the project. It's a lovely coin. And I think they have some left if anyone reads this that is interested in owning one! Just write to SEMIK and I'm certain she'll fix you up. It's one of the nicer projects I've known about. Happy Trails!
  23. Snoogans DOES have a penny smasher, and several SMASHING geo-designs that he's going to sell. Check with him about the custom die thing, I bet he'd be hot to do it. Happy Trails,
  24. Is it registered? Still under warranty? Thanks, Candy
