  2. I had not heard that one. Interesting though. that place is a lot of fun. We got to use the jump tower for practice when I was at military school, very fun! Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  3. Yes! Yes! and Yes! One question, when? Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  4. I made one for my Meridian Platinum using the screw hole and some cording. Works great! I would hate to lose that thing. Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  5. Yeah, I normally cache alone. Sometimes with my wife and son, or a friend, but usually alone. I mostly cache at lunch or before work so it's just easier to cache by myself. I would not want my wife to cache alone as I have been some places that are not exactly the safest in the world. I'm a pretty big guy so I don't scare too easy and I usually carry a hiking staff and it has many uses! Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)

  7. It's more like hiking hide and seek than just hiking. I don't know, it's pretty hard to explain to someone who doesn't even know what a GPS does. Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)

  10. I bought a Delorme Earthmate a few years ago to use with my Palm III and a laptop to track back country trails and good camping spots. It worked allright for what I used it for at the time. A few months ago I stumbled across Geocaching.com noticed that there was a cache in my neighborhood and by gosh, I had to find it! I borrowed my Grandfathers Magellan ColorTrak to begin geocaching until I could hunt down the ellusive Magellan Meridian Platinum (sure, now you can find them, but try finding one at the beginning of March 2002!). I did a few caches with the ColorTrak, finally got my Platinum (world of difference!) and have been on the hunt ever since. Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  11. O.K., I want to know how many of you went and checked her profile for a possible picture of Rosey as soon as you saw the pet picture? Be honest! Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)

  13. Usually it's just me, but my wife (LittleMama) and son (LittleMonster, he's 3 years old) go on occasion. I don't think I would want my wife to cache alone on the trail though, as I have seen some interesting people out there. Of course they probably think the same thing about the 6'5", 280# guy carrying a hiking staff, taking what looks like tri-corder readings in local parks while sometimes carrying a wooden Tiki idol and digital camera (see my log for GC274 ). 14. I'm a guy and I bought my GPS so I wouldn't have to stop and ask directions! Just kidding, I'm a gadget nut and my wife always teases me about wanting things that are really hard to find and get, so I guess Geocacheing fit's the bill. It sure fit when I was trying to find my Meridian Platinum! Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter) Oh yeah my three year old son caches with me and he too is a guy! His Geocache nickname is LittleMonster.

  22. Concept works but it is just a different type of travel bug, I wouldn't call it a cache. Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  23. I have been on the site since March and had not ever seen the map page before. Big help! Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  24. I just had a question regarding searching for caches along a route. I am going on a weekend trip and wanted to see if there is a way to do a search for caches along that route, without having to check ever zip code along the way. I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination, so I would not know what is involved to implement this feature. Either specify a route and a proxity along that route, or even just to be able to search by city names would be great. Let me know what you think. Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
  25. Delete it, leave it, it really doesn't matter as this person has validated the action to themselves, and you won't change the way they look at it. To me if someone cheats, it's totally thier loss not yours. Does it hurt you if they log a find on your cache? No, it hurts thier character. You tried to do the right thing and ask them if they had been to the sites, and they replied yes and no. If you delete it and they repost it what will you do then? Later, TikimanHSA (Hunter)
