  1. Many thanks I deleted the file and found a cache then down loaded it without a problem
  2. I tried dragging it to my laptop but the same result, I regularly delete the file so have now deleted it and will see what happens when I log a cache
  3. I tried to upload my drafts from my montana 700 and got this error "geocache_visits.txt" is not in the correct format. I have uploaded the same file for many years. Something on the web page must have changed
  4. The reviews are still there I asked a friend to check if my log was still on her AD Lab as mine was saying rate and review and it was still there, the app is obviously not picking up the account reviews or doing something strange, they should be able to fix it all logs are not lost
  5. I used to insert an HTML paragraph which I found in the help system to upload a picture to my cache page this doesn't seem to work anymore or am I just doing something wrong paragraph as follows <center><img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/gs-geo-images/1c0f7824-367c-45e9-abcd-4b2f867508e7.jpg”></center>
  6. I am running a PQ which is created but not available for downloading which rather defeats the object
  7. Yesterday i tried to do my first Wherigo after my GPS crashed for the 9th time i gave up if the software is so unstable its not surprising Wherigo is not popular i also phoned a friend who had previously done some and he also said the gps always crashes you have to keep saving before you move on unfrtunately for me mine wouldn't even go past the first stage so no more Wherigo for me
  8. Just updated my 550 to 3.8 via webupdater and all is fine
  9. I would go along with this I don't have a problem with "needs archiving" but can see some cachers getting upset by it although if a cache has been out of action for more than 3 months without a cache owners note explaining why it deserves a "needs archiving".
  10. I don't see why a cacher should email someone when a cache has been off line for so long surely its up to the owner to put a note on the cache page explaining why its still disabled and keep other cachers informed and it is as you rightly say " bad form" so you shouldn't be surprised when someone logs a needs maintenace regardless of how many finds they have. I have just logged a needs archiving on a cache disabled for 6 months maintain them or archive them but don't leave them sitting around disabled its really annoying when you are off caching somewhere only to find 3 or 4 caches disabled and then return to the area a couple of months later only to fnd them still disabled I think there should be a time limit if not maintained within 3 months archive it
  11. An excellent idea to support your local hospice which do magnificent work. Unfortunately I expect a passing mod will soon end the discussion under the regular ban on mentioning charitable causes here. Also Kewfriend is being accused of all sorts of nefarious behaviour which to my mind comes pretty close to showing disrespect which is also banned. I'm with HH in giving him the benefit of the doubt until convinced otherwise. Kewfriend does not deserve any respect and I for one was not impressed with his apology he shouldn't have started this in the first place so as far as i can see there is no doubt to give him the benefit of.
  12. Most sidetracked caches I have found are outside stations in the carparks or fences, Network rail own the railway tracks and buildings ie stations but the stations are leased to the train operators so surely the permissions would need to be from the train operators and no one in their right mind would place a cache on a railway track unless of course its a disused one. what is Kewenemy trying to prove why start this all up again what a ..........................
