Well i actually just figured it out. If you are having a problem that seems similar to this one, just press the menu button on the geocaching setup screen and select restore default. That did it for me.

Hello all, I have a problem on my hands. I have a Vista hcx with City Navigator North America 2008 on it. When i get to the setup screen for geocaching, the icons for the caches found and not found are blue circles. As soon as i click on either of the icon to change it to the icon of my choice, the gps turns off. This has not happend the entire time. When i first recieved the unit, this feature worked fine, sense then i have loaded all of city navigator and uploaded custom caching waypoint symbols using gsak. Any care to ask for more info or give a suggestion?

I made this comment a bit earlyer but the topic changed rather quickly. Does anyone feel that I am screwed if i want the release date of CN v8 to be announced by the 29, June?

well i have read all the replies to this topic and i dont know much about availibility when i comes to the release date and shipping what not so... If i am destined to go to Colorado on June 29, do you think i am going to be screwed when it comes down to me wanting to use CN v8 on my trip. I also would like to know if when i porduct is anounced but not shipped, is it not possible to get the product untill after the shipping date? Thank you all for your input.

hello all... I recieved a PQ a while back and just now loaded it up in my "watcher" all the icons and smile faces for good posts and whatnot came up. Then i created a new one just now and had it run for today. The email came and i opened up the gpx and then opened it in my "watcher". The problem is that when i opened there, everything besides the difficulty was yellow question marks. Could someone please tell me what i screwed up here.

I saw a sticker on a log today that said something like proudly using billion dollar military satalites to find little tupperwear containers in the woods and i just about died laughing. How could i go about creating and receiving such custome made geo stickers. I know that there is a statbar generator but i dont thing that is what i am looking for.

I created a pocket querie and put my file setting to be the gpx file. I downloaded watcher and it only opens up gpx files to my understanding. When i try to save my files from the querie, i click the check all button and then download waypoints. The next window that pops up says that the file is a geocaching.loc file. How do i make it download a gpx file?

Hello, i recently purchased MetroGuide v6 and downloaded some of the maps to my e-trex legend C. The software works great for having all the little residensial steets on it but when i try to make a route in an area where the detailed map is... the gps just acts like the residensial streets are not even there. The GPS only gives the turn for turn directions of the rather large streets and highways. A curiouse thing about the whole thing is that when a i make the same route on the Mapsource software, the computer tells me the turn for turn directions of all the little streets that the gps acted like wasn't there.

I have read the forum that gives a very well explained way as to getting a pic on the site. The problem for me is when the directions say {In the upper right corner, in the "Travel Bug Options" box, click the "Upload an Image" link.} I go to the TB site and int the travel but options box, the only thing it says it "found it/log it" "Watch this TB" and "Print Bug Sheet" so if anyone could please explain why i dont have the picture option. thanx

Hello all, I recently bought a Garmin E-trex lengend C and I would like to be able to download the .loc waypoints onto my GPS. I already downloaded the CD that came with it and that would be "trip and waypoint manager". I dont think that it can open the .loc files and i tried "easy GPS but that one doesn't have and option for selecting a legend C. Maby my best bet would be to get a file converter or some stuff like that, but i really dont know. So here i am hoping if anyone who reads this can give me any usefull info. thank you fellow geocachers

wasuuuuuuuuup, i took a pic for the jeep contest and filled out all of the info for the contest and clicked the upload pic or what ever that butten is and i got a "page can not be displaid" thing.
