  1. I'd like to buy one for my daughter. Her cachemobile is a '99 4Runner
  2. I would love to have a couple of these, also. How do I get on a mailing list so that I can be notified when ordering starts? CITO is so important to our sport! Peggy (The Amigos)
  3. After reading through the coin forum, I have to say that I did not realize that geocoin collecting was such a big thing. Boy was I wrong with that assumption! I have been looking at some of the artwork that you all have put on your coins. AWESOME! I just hope that we can put out a product that will compare with some of these! I have been talking with some of the others in our group trying to come up with our artwork. So I guess my next question is... I noticed that several people say they would be interested in having one of the coins when they are finished. When you send your idea to the manufacturer, and get everything ready to go, do you post that you are going to have a coin to sell or trade at that point? Or do you get orders first, so that you have an idea of how many to have made? I noticed that some coins say they are from a limited edition, and then there are other coins (of a lesser quality?) offered? Tell me a little bit about this, please. Thanks for all the help! Peggy (The Amigos)
  4. Alright, I'm going to sound really stupid now, but what is an icon on a coin? I know what the tracking number is. We are a small group and won't need 500 coins.
  5. That's a nice coin! I don't think we want anything that special, but that is really nice! We have a coin drawing already, so I guess the next step is to send it to a company and see what they think?
  6. O.k., this might not be the place to post this question, but since I'm still almost a newbie, maybe you'll forgive me. We have a group here in Abilene, TX, that just started a year ago. We would love to have a geocoin of our own, but money is short, and honestly, I don't even know where to start to look at ordering them, or finding out the cost. Is there a minimum number of coins that you have to have made? If the minimum is more than we need, can we sell the rest? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Our group is GAGA!! (Greater Abilene Geocaching Association)
  7. Is there a way to still order these coins? I would love to have a few! Please email me at RWFriend1@yahoo.com if there is a way to order. Thanks
  8. Hello from The Amigos in Abilene, TX. We have 4 dogs, 1 or 2 of which cache with us sometimes. We cache with our daughter and son-in-law. They have 2 dogs that cache with them. one of these is a brindle-colored Pit Bull who is the goofiest, sweetest dog you will ever meet. She likes to play hide-and-seek, and loves to climb trees. She even has her very own tree house! We also cache with the rest of our family, which consists of another daughter, 2 sons, 1 future daughter-in-law, and a nephew. Cacheing is a wonderful way to spend valuable time with your family. We hope your project goes well. Post a note later and let everyone know! Good Luck! Mommy Amigo
  9. I go to the dollar store and buy ribbons that say "You're a Winner" or "Congratulations" or something like that. They can be rolled up and put in micr caches as well as regular caches. It started off by accident. I put one in the first 3 or 4 caches that we put out. Then when I started reading the logs on these caches, the FTF's were saying "Woo Hoo, another ribbon!" and stuff like that. So it just continued from there. We recently had a cacher get-together, and several people had the ribbons attached to their packs! (Bragging rights! lol) Usually, the ribbons are really cheap. HObby stores sell them, also.
