  1. I have moved several Travel Bugs to new cache locations lately and noticed something I just cant figure out.

Why would someone pick up a Bug I am watching, go put it in another cache, log putting it there then log taking it out again in the same day?

A couple of them have been logged in and out of the same cache by the same person up to 3 and 4 times.

    Why would someone do this?

  2. I have uploaded about a dozen images to find logs in JPG format with no problems until recently.

Now, I try to upload and get an error message that says the JPG file format isnt supported by GC.com but if I convert it to a BMP, it accepts it.

Can someone help here? If this something going on with GC.com or is it some sort of setting on my computer that isnt right?

    Thanks for any help.

  3. I have actually picked some of the rocks and marbles from caches. Not to get rid of them but they are just cool looking. The kids around the neighborhood love them.

Business cards selling insurance, etc. are way wrong. We like the small silver SW charms we pick up when doing business in ABQ. They make good "LEFT" items.

Dollar stores are perfect for cache stocking.

  4. We have 2 Legends and are impressed with them.

Finding a cache was really accurate on mine. Usually around 6 feet of the indicator then we bought my wife one...

Hers is the most on the spot Legend I have seen yet. When hers says you are there, you had better look down cause you are probably about to step on it.

Turning on the WAAS function is a must.

  5. We have the Legend units here. None of them will get me closer than a foot from a target even in the best of conditions. Yours is probably just as good as ours.

Garmin tells me I am 50 feet below sea level standing in the driveway. I put no faith in the altimeter in those things.

I have wondered about your unit and would like to know if waypoints can be uploaded into it like the Garmin. Just last night I saw some walk away deals on the Cobra.

  6. We have seen lots of knives in caches and dont see a thing wrong with them either being dropped or collected there.

Caution will need to be taken as much with a knife as with some small McDonalds type toys and their coming apart and becoming caught up in a child's throat.

Not near the school thing is a good idea. I would think that as with anything, you just need to use your head.
