OK, next photo upload attempt I will check that. As I remember, the extension was in lower case but I will look to be sure.

I have uploaded about a dozen images to find logs in JPG format with no problems until recently.
Now, I try to upload and get an error message that says the JPG file format isnt supported by GC.com but if I convert it to a BMP, it accepts it.
Can someone help here? If this something going on with GC.com or is it some sort of setting on my computer that isnt right?
Thanks for any help.

We have the Garmin Legends here and run Energizer 2500ma NMiH slow charging them. We are very pleased with their performance.

Although this thread is funny, dont yall think that talking explosives is going to give geocaching a bad image?
You know how it goes, as soon as something becomes fun, they outlaw it.

OK to use but really hard to find.
That thing is awesome!

I dont see anything wrong with it. I am sure someone will pick it up right away and really enjoy it.

That PFRANC place works. Use an old mouse cable and one of their connectors. Works great.

Seen some of this. No big deal though. We usually take the broken stuff out and replace it with something complete and ready to play with.

I have actually picked some of the rocks and marbles from caches. Not to get rid of them but they are just cool looking. The kids around the neighborhood love them.
Business cards selling insurance, etc. are way wrong. We like the small silver SW charms we pick up when doing business in ABQ. They make good "LEFT" items.
Dollar stores are perfect for cache stocking.

When I see multi caches or these ones that require a super computer to solve, I just dont do them. So far, I have seen only one multi that was fun.
In short, just dont do them. There should be plenty of other ones to do.

Those trucks are getting pretty fast these days. Maybe FEMA should get a fleet of those to deliver goods to hurricane areas.
Less people would complain then.

Thanks for the link fix. I will check out how it performs on the Palm.

Yep, sure is.

That is cool. We have not seen ours get crazy like this yet.

The Legend looks pretty solid. Have not dropped it yet but it looks well made.

Looked at the manual. Seems like a nice program but your link to the file is just a blank page.

We used our Legend connected to a notebook to go from Galveston to North Texas. Worked like a champ and NO traffic delays at all.
What a blessing to have this thing.

Using a mouse cable is a good idea. Finish it off with a connector from this guy.

His site is total confusion but his connectors are great. I have made custom power supplies and power supply/data cables using old mouse cables and his connectors.
All sorts of information is on his site about making your own cables.

3M makes a micro polish. It works beyond belief!

We have 2 Legends and are impressed with them.
Finding a cache was really accurate on mine. Usually around 6 feet of the indicator then we bought my wife one...
Hers is the most on the spot Legend I have seen yet. When hers says you are there, you had better look down cause you are probably about to step on it.
Turning on the WAAS function is a must.

We have the Legend units here. None of them will get me closer than a foot from a target even in the best of conditions. Yours is probably just as good as ours.
Garmin tells me I am 50 feet below sea level standing in the driveway. I put no faith in the altimeter in those things.
I have wondered about your unit and would like to know if waypoints can be uploaded into it like the Garmin. Just last night I saw some walk away deals on the Cobra.

That is pretty whack-o. Maybe he wanted to protect the cache container in case someone left some SPAM in it.

We have seen lots of knives in caches and dont see a thing wrong with them either being dropped or collected there.
Caution will need to be taken as much with a knife as with some small McDonalds type toys and their coming apart and becoming caught up in a child's throat.
Not near the school thing is a good idea. I would think that as with anything, you just need to use your head.

The title to an 05 VW Beetle or at least a color Garmin would be a great idea.

I have moved several Travel Bugs to new cache locations lately and noticed something I just cant figure out.
Why would someone pick up a Bug I am watching, go put it in another cache, log putting it there then log taking it out again in the same day?
A couple of them have been logged in and out of the same cache by the same person up to 3 and 4 times.
Why would someone do this?
