Or, for *five* dollars per month, you can be a Gold Member. Now, unlike mere premium members, a Gold Member *is* superior. It's by invitation only, for starters. And you get neat additional features, like a forum spellchecker so that you spell "accurate" accurately.
That reminds me of the episode of Frasier where they kept purchasing upgrades to go into the next room of the exclusive spa - until they ended up basically naked in a trash filled alley behind the place. But it was the platinum door!!!!

After you collect every clue, there needs to be some challenge to decypher, but not so much as to make that the hard part - the hard part is collecting them.
I personally would add one requirement - you must vist each cache. People would be tempted to cheat, and just get people in each state to email them the clues. Make it interesting - make it worthwhile - make it a task worth completeing.
Wanted: One puzzle genius - Who wants to be responsible for creating the puzzle to go with this? What info needs to be placed in each cache etc.
Once we have the list of willing participants, you will need to be the one responsible for getting them the info they need to include in their cache and will be the mastermind behind creating the puzzle.

I sure there others with great skills, however having previously spent some time looking at puzzle caches (and being stumped by them), two names come to mind - Snoogans and NudeCacher. Now if either one would agree to participate I have no idea.

Eventually, there will be only one cache on GC.com. All others will be spun off to their own sites.
I hope not - I like having them all on one web page. That way whatever I am in the mood for I can easily pull up and do. To include mixing and matching.

A quick search of google revealed several web sites.
http://stevemorse.org/jcal/latlon.php works well and is free. It does return in decimal format, but you could punch that into the hide and seek a cache page to have it converted into the geocaching normal format.

I am sorry Martinell it was not your post that I was referring to. Your post passed on some very good info to the OP, and you are right, always check with your reviewer when you are working on something "outside of the box", it will save lots of time, expense and heartaches later.
My response was in reference to Starbrand's post and in retrospect I over-reacted. I apologize to all involved for my sarcastic resmarks and for derailing this thread.

Looks like I have another cache that does not meet the exacting requirements of the forums.
It is a puzzle cache and you have to use your gpsr to get to the starting point of the compass course that leads you to the final location. This is an accepted way to hide a puzzle cache as far as I am aware of, but I may be hampered by my limited experience. On the other hand, this cache almost always receives very positive logs and I have been contacted by several people regarding their great experiences hunting it.

Edit to add: An apology for my sarcastic response. I nearly did not post to answer the OP because I figure most every post in the forums lately ends in controversy, even helpful ones. I have to admit that it pushed my buttons to have an immediate response that implied my cache was outside of the guidelines. I guess that is the shape of the forums today.
As the second to post - "immediate response?" - I would like to say that I in no way implied that anything the OP was asking was outside of the guidelines. I merely related that I had seen this question before and it had been a controversy so I suggested working with the local reviewer to ensure that it would be ok to have it inside of the building. I in no way implied that your cache was outside of any guidelines since I have no knowledge of what your cache even is.

You would want to start with the head librarian.
You might also want to ask your local reviewer if this kind of cache will be approved. I think I saw previously on these forums a discussion regarding this sort of issue where the cacher had hidden a box outside of the library and was upset that it was not approved because the searchers had to go into the library for clues.

I think we should ban all the lame ice cream flavors. Back in the old days you got vanilla or chocolate. Ice cream makers who create weird flavors only to get there flavor count higher than 31 are ruining ice cream.

If history can be an indicator I think I can with some relative assuredness predict that in the probably not too distant future we will see Groundspeak stop publishing them.I suspect that your world-view is somewhat tainted by what you read in these forums; only a very narrow segment of geocachers is represented here. Of the hundreds of geocachers I have met, few if any dare come in here....
Like you most of the cachers here in the forums know cachers outside the forums. Unlike you're experience most cachers I know have a love hate relatinonship with Micro's but few if any would trade in full size caches for micros, but plenty would do vise versa.
Most cachers, inside the forums and out recognize that micro's have their place and would not get rid of them.
My opinion on micro's remains the same. Place the largest cache the area can support, but place a cache rather than not.
I had a really nice multi with the coordinates for the main cache hidden inside of a fishing lure stuck to the side of a tree. You would be amazed at how many people overlooked the lure. I was amazed at the number of people who stole the main cache. It got to be such a pain that I had to archive the whole thing and turn it into a micro. After all, the area was still nice, it was just not possible to keep a traditional cache box in the area.
So, while I did not want to, I had to replace a traditional with the largest cache the area would support - a micro in the middle of the trees.

Get the windows version of plucker for the desktop.
I am in the process of figuring this out myself. I downloaded GSAK, fed it my pocket queries and am now exporting to HTML. When this is done I shall point plucker at it. When that is done you simply hot sync. Plucker is simple enough once you play with it. (I use plucker to read off line web sites already.)

I got "lost" once - the cache appeared to be just 1/2 mile ahead on a farmers property through closed fences and signs saying "There is nothing worth dying for up here."
After a closer look at the map I realized that a public road went through a public hunting area just behind his place. Retreived the cache with no problem after that.

I have that model. The accuracy reading on the nav screen will let you know how close you are. If you are lucky you will have a 10 foot search radius - otherwise it could be around 25 feet.
When you set up your waymark and choose goto you follow the black arrow, not the white arrow.
It also works fairly well if you are walking very slowly - allow does have a slight tendency to "drift" if you are standing still.
This model does work really well for geocaching so don't give up on it.
