  1. Thanks for the replies- especially to Walts Hunting. I did a little research and then down loaded and used Google chrome. Now the plug in for Garmin works every time. Caution-Be sure to download Google Chrome from official web site. I downloaded it first from a third party site and that caused a host of issues that took me quite awhile to resolve. Thanks again! Scott P.S. I personally will use Google Chrome just for caching and then use Explorer for browsing etc.
  2. I purchased my first Garmin GSMAP 62. Was tired of dealing with my Lowrance Endura. So I down load the Garmin communicator plug in and in minutes I have 50 caches loaded for my next outing. The next time I go to load caches the communicator wont connect. I deleted and re-installed the communicator twice with same results. Any ideas? Thank you, Scott
  3. Thanks msrubble-I will try your suggestions and post if it works out. Scott
  4. I broke down and bought a new computer-it came with Windows 8 (not liking it) I click on GPX file on a cache page then save it to my Endura and the caches never load. It used to be where with Windows xp I simply had to click twice and the caches were in my GPSr. I have tried every possible scenario and the caches still never load. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Scott
  5. I rececntly exchanged my endura safari for a brand new one from retailer. On a cache page I click on GPX file and save to endura however the caches never load onto device. This is the reason I exchanged it to begin with. What im I missing? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Scott
  6. Thank you all very much. I used alandbs' procedure and now I am able to load caches on to my endura. I wish I could eliminate a step or two but I am sure after I do it 100 times it will be faster. Thanks again, Scott
  7. I have been hand entering coordinates into my Lowrance Ifinder H20c for almost 2 years. I decided to upgrade and go paperless-Having liked the reliability of the H20 I purchased a Lowrance Endura Safari. I picked a cache to send to the gpsr and a prompt informed me that I needed to download a program to do this. So I chose GSAK, followed the set-up procedures, pick a cache for a test and find that GSAK wont send directly to the Lowrance. I have tried numerous "back door" procedures over the last 4 hrs. A GSAK prompt inferred that it can support Lowrance but I need to chose "File=Export=>Lowrance. This did not work either. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated, Scott
  8. Im in Arizona on a business trip and wanted to get a couple caches while I am here. My gpsr will not lock onto the satellites. At home in Wisconsin my Lowrance H2O C locks on pretty quickly. Yesterday here in Chandler I walked around outside for over 1/2 hr. and it would only minimally pick up three satellites. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any input. Troutscott
  9. If a log is full-should I always replace it? And if so do I simply throw the old log out? Thank you.
  10. I have a Lowrance H2O c - I figuered the only way besides manually entering each cache was to download multiple caches and then send them to an sd card ?
  11. I can download waypoints and find them on my computer. How do I then send them to an sd-card ? I have windows vista and the waypoints are found in downloads but there is no option to send to E drive. Do I send to documents ? Compressed folder ? Thanks for any tips-getting frustrated, Scott
  12. Are new cache listings always published at midnight ? Or is it randomed and up to the reviewer? Thank you, Troutscott
  13. Would someone be kind enough to explain what that means? I have read it quite often that at ground zero the cacher "Put out a Beacon" to help narrow the search. Thanks in advance, Troutscott
