    Hey Shifty54, Having used both, would you recommend the 2620 over the 2720? Both are still available (similar price), but I have read more good things about the 2620 than I have the 2720. Thanks, Don

    Based on price comparisons of the Streetpilot 2620 and 2720 MSRP and street price (both MSRP >$1K but sell on the web for ~$750-$850), the actual street price should be ~$550-650 (the Nuvi has a similar MSRP as the C330 and Quest 2, which both sell for the street price listed above). While still high, this is not the much more than a PPC, BT reciever and Navigation software (actually probably a little less). Nonetheless, total functionality of the Nuvi will be lower than a PPC combo. Don

    ImpalaBob, I believe the Hitachi movie is related to harddrive (HD) magnetic storage, not compact disc (CD) optical storage. They are working on a method to move the orientation of the magenic media from parallel to the harddisk platter to perpendicular (as you noted). I bet they are working first on the microdrives for music players (iPod, mp3 etc) first. Taking them from 4GB or 20GB to 40GB or 200GB in a handheld unit would be a big gain. Desktop units can already handle 200GB+ drives, so the need seems to be less there. Don

    For anyone considering ordering from GPS Explorer, please read the thread above and check out their rating at ResellerRating.com. It's not very good. It appears others are contending the rebate offers are a scam. I have not personal experience with this company. Just what I found from google. As for deals on the 76cs, the best I found on the web is at Newegg.com, $423 with $5 shipping. I ordered many things from Newegg (mostly computer stuff) with great results. Also their rating at resellerrating.com is excellent. Don
