  1. Here is a story from our local paper that you might find interesting. http://argusobserver.com/articles/2011/11/09/news/doc4ebac3a4bf6d5547973323.txt
  2. Thanks for the quick response. I notice that there are also some caches along the route that i made that do not have the bolt over them. Were they not added to the query because I hit the 500 max limit?
  3. I created a pocket query and on the map of the caches there is a yellow lightning bolt icon above the cache icon. What does that mean? Thanks Ken n Nadine
  4. I have been a premium member for a month now and still a "Tadpole".
  5. I was just wondering what the "Tadpole" means when I post on the forum. I am sure something to do with being a newbie. What does it take to move to the next level up to at least a "Toad".......thanks I love this new hobby.
  6. I have a Garmin Vista Hcx and also use my iPod touch with an app called Geosphere to do the paperless part. So far it works very well.
  7. If i understand your problem right try this. In Geosphere touch on Search at bottom of screen. If nothing listed touch on Filters in the upper left hand corner of screen. You should then see all the groups you have available with the number of caches in each group. Tap the group you want to select it and then tap done. The caches should now be listed in the search window. Hope that helped.
  8. Thanks for all the replies. I went and got the Geosphere app for my iPod and load the caches to my iPod and my GPS unit. Now i have the cache details on my iPod to look at while out looking for a cache. Works great so far. Thanks all.
  9. I am just getting into geocaching. I have a very basic GPS unit. I print out info on the cache to take with me. Is there a file format that i could get of the cache details that i could save to my iPod touch? Such as a plain text file or a PDF file. Then I could access the cache details from my iPod instead of taking printed copies with me. Thanks for any help...Ken N Nadine
