  1. Whatever you do don't defend yourself.
  2. You hit the nail on the head with that point.
  3. I went to one today. It was a virtual cache so I got a shot of a tombstone as proof. You can see in this picture where it was broken off and repaired.
  4. Yes you can I recommend GSAK. How much is it on Amazon? I picked it up on ebay brand new for $237. The guy has a store or something b/c he is alway selling them for around that price.
  5. There is one in every crowd. I lived in Fort Myers for 3 years. I moved to Indy about a year ago. Great town I really enjoyed it.
  6. I couldn't agree with you more Scott. That is what my post was getting at. Ask the risk of getting yelled at where are you in FL?
  7. Calm down dude. I have 20 some posts in this forum. I know in that amount of time that the micro topic has been beaten to death. I'm assuming you are well aware of this as well with your 1900+ posts. I wasn't saying his post brought up this topic I just used the opportunity to make a micro joke(no pun intended). I didn't realize you were standing by to go chicken little on me for having an opinion. As you know, opinions are like a**holes, everybody's got one. Everyone states them no matter what the thread topic is about. I'd say you really need to lighten up if you felt the need to use a "" face for something stupid like that. Now you've got me worried about you. Stress can be a silent killer.
  8. dead horse...beat more, beat more....yep still dead.
  9. A crappy cache....oops did i say that out loud?
  10. For some reason I enjoy the cemetery caches the most. I guess it is the history that most of the hold cemetery's hold. I'd like to point out one thing that completely amazes me. That is how many of these old cemetery's have vandalized tombstone's. Mostly they are broken off or knocked over in some way. Now I'm not a very religious man but if you do have to answer to something in the afterlife this is certainly not something I'd want on my list. I know I'm into these paranormal shows too much as well but I'd think doing something like his would bring you a terrible aura. Well anyhow just me venting. Any of you have comments or concerns on this?
  11. I was in Carlise/Franklin/Middletown area. Its just south of Dayton. My parents live in London, Ohio tho.
  12. Spent a little time Geocaching around the in-laws house. Every 6th cache here in Fishers, IN where I live seems to be a Micro. It was just the opposite in Ohio. Most of the caches were regulars with stuff inside. That certainly made it a lot more fun.
  13. hmm I can't seem to find who said they were shy about it.
  14. You and I have never met but for some reason I would love to see footage of this.
  15. Do you run into other geocachers? Do you introduce yourself by your Internet name or real name? Overall do you enjoy the experience or would you rather be alone?
  16. Actually the legend C does not really have any useful maps that come with it. You still must pay seperately for these. Vista C and Legend C both use the same map software...."City Select North America". You can read about it on Garmin.com. They charge way to much for it but that is what you need.
  17. Huh the thought of being first never really crossed my mine. Since I've only been at it at week just finding the site is reward enuf at this point.
  18. Sue, Yes but with the Legend C under the 'Find' menu next to 'Waypoints' there is a 'Geocache'. Once you put them in and save them you can change little flag picture to a treasure chest(or whatever icon you made it. treasure is the default) Once you do instead of keeping them under the 'Waypoints' menu it keeps them under the 'Geocache' menu. Make sense?
  19. You're right it is amazing but I don't think they spend that much on it. I mean you can buy an upgrade copy of XP for $99. Mapping roads hardly compares to an OS. I'm not against paying them but I am against over paying. There is no competition between map software companies which leads us to paying more. I have been reading the forums quite a bit over the past week. Lots of complaints about the mapping software lacking in some department or another. I think this is another result of no competiton. http://maps.google.com/ has no ads that I can see. And compared to a lot of sites you could hardly call the ads on mapquest or yahoo a bombardment. Ok I'm now off my soapbox.
  20. Woot! I found my first one today too. 6th one I have visited, 1st find. Just seeing that first one taught me a ton.
  21. Yes I see why it is worth the price. But since going to places like google is free I think they are going overboard with the price. I know I can't load google maps on my gps but they are free none the less. Just seems a little pricey considering I just paid $230 for the GPS. If they offerred those maps for free I think it would sway a lot more customers their way. And I bet they would make more in the long run. Just my 2 cents.
  22. Wow $130 for detailed road map software that goes with my Legend C. First I know its not worth that but I'll probably end up buying it anyway. Anyone know if they are good about keeping all the streets on it? Looks like I'm talking about the "City Select North America".
  23. Ah found it. Once I create it under waypoint I just need to change the icon to the one I use for geocaching. That adds it to the list.
  24. It will list all the geocaches near your location. But first you gotta add all the sites in there.
