Hi all! I submitted a CITO event, but it was rejected due to too many "red flags." I will try and resolve these issues, but it will take some time. So it looks like April 20 is CANCELED. If any one is interested, you can still come out individually. We meet Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 10-12. Thanks for your support!

OK, I have been convinced that a CITO event would be a great idea! Landsharkz - thanks for the CITO swag offer. I will definitely take you up on the offer. I am looking to hold the event in about 2 weeks (April 19), but still need to iron out a few details. Thanks for the input!

The Friends of Mount Douglas Park are looking for volunteers to help remove invasive species from Mt. Douglas Park (Victoria, BC). Currently, we are tackling Garlic Mustard which has taken a firm foothold in the park. The challenge is to remove as much as possible before the plant flowers. A single garlic mustard plant can produce hundreds of seeds. Some information on Garlic Mustard can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garlic_mustard Fortunately, the plant is easy to remove. We just need people to help. All tools will be provided. We meet on Thursday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. If you are interested, please meet at the Glendenning parking lot at 9:50 am. Is anyone going to Japan soon, leaving from Victoria BC? I have a new TB that I would like to land in Japan. I setup this TB as a geography/culture lesson for my daughter who is really interested in Japan. Thanks!

I found this letterbox cache by accident on Mt. Tolmie (Victoria BC) this afternoon while looking for another geocache. Anyone know more information about it?
