  1. Make that 15 caches! The count is 25 now, but it looks like one of the International coins is *way* ahead of that! Time for use Vo Dilanders to kick it into gear! Aw dude - half those caches are from one cacher dipping! Not against the rules of course. Don't mind me, just wondering when MA coin #6 is going to be picked up from its 2nd cache, where it was been for a month.
  2. It is very disappointing when coins and TBs go missing (especially my coin that didn't survive GW5*). That said, I'm anti-copy. Well, not against the practice per se but I won't log one. Personally, I love finding coins and the prospect of finding a piece of paper instead with a note is, well, let's say not appealing. I just leave them in a cache for someone else. I buy two of each coin - one for me and one for a cache and cachers. That way when a meanie cacher swipes my coin at an event at least I still have one for myself*. *Forgive the bitterness - losing my coin at a huge event was more painful than having it pilfered from a cache.

    Discovered it.

I think this is an excellent solution.

    Nero Cointest

I saw a Dorkfish next to some Team Sand Dollars. Um, did I win? I would peg the over/under of the number of cachers/coin collectors who can answer this question at 7.5. In the universe.
  5. I have no idea. It was close to a private residence but clearly still within park boundaries (probably by 100 yards, i.e. not even close). Other than that I have no idea. Very curious. I also agree that I don't understand the difference in reasons for delisting versus archiving. The former seems to wipe out all trace of the cache while the latter retains all logs and cache description for posterity.
  6. Agreed. Also, I goofed in my original post - I found this cache. I can view my log but not the cache page.
  7. Hmm, I don't know that I've ever seen a delisted cache before. Still odd that it tells me that I must be logged in and a premium member, both of which I am (as noted). Also, I guess delisted is different enough from archived that it gets wiped out forever. Also a new to me phenomenon.
  8. I DNF'd this cache a few weeks ago. Now when I click on the listing it the page says that an error ocurrred (correct), then is says you cannot view this cache listing until it has been published (which happened a while ago), then it says "you are not logged in" (incorrect), then it says "greyed out links are only available to Premium Members" (which I am). Very peculiar.
  9. I use the unpublished cache approach which I consider to be functional but not elegant. Jeremy made a reference to adding a collectibles function in a recent thread, which sounds promising.
  10. I wonder what happened to it? It only has 3 entries and is not listed at the last cache mentioned in the log. I wondered for a moment as well but then I realized that as the first TB no one else would have known what it was! Track something on the site with a tag? What? The early USA geocoins probably suffered the same fate.
  11. One red jeep TB received in Beantown today. To quote my assistant "You get some weird packages" (most of which are geocoin deliveries...).
  12. Anyone in New England get one? If it doesn't come tomorrow I'm gone for the next week...
  13. This thread is IC (incredibly confusing).
  14. Easily my favorite post of the thread. Well, that and "Why does my post say Sexy Sally?" (note my forum title of the past week or so)
  15. No red jeep yet here in Boston, MA as of the end of day Wednesday. Eagerly awaiting.
  16. Something tells me this is going to be a war (er, friendly game) of attrition. Jayman's NJ isn't the first coin to jump to a different state.
  17. Yes! Keep minting more. Eventually those people who bought 2 or 3 of each metal with hopes of selling them off on eBay will learn their lesson about trying to game the market. Uhhh ... some of us who bought 2-3 will be giving some away as cache FTF or event prizes. Precisely - nicolo beat me to the reply. Glad to hear there are more being minted.
  18. Check out this link. That's what folks were referring to (not the actual jeeps themselves).
  19. Have you tried again recently? Posters in the RJTB thread indicated that their Jeeps were not activated earlier in the day but were later in the day. Your Jeep, if not activated already, should be activated shortly. Man I wish my Jeep was here...
  20. My personal opinion is that as long as it is adequately disclosed, a "nude cache" would be fine. For folks who don't go for that type of thing they can just put it on the ignore list. And for the rest? Bring extra sunscreen...
  21. It's fine to search by zip, but I have to imagine most folks just look at an area without worrying about the town lines. You could create your own zones by starting with a zip code, using a 5-mile radius, clearing it out, then starting over with another zip code.
  22. Folks in the other RJTB thread in Geocaching Topics have indicated that they were not activated as of this morning but subsequently have been activated as of this afternoon.
  23. Have these come and gone? Clicking on the link in the first post brings up a totally blank page. Did the demand destroy the site??
