  1. Ditto that! Inmywoods ands I were in the area to gret all the new caches...we saw the big pile you all left. :-)
  2. Ok, this isn't geocaching related, but what heck. Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!! Totally awesome!!!!!!
  3. Thanks for the article Chris. I love reading bear encounter stuff. I remember when Cache Ahead and I saw that Grizzly at Glacier National Park. We had just finished the virts up in that park and had gone exploring up another road on the east side of the great park. We didn't think...just jumped out of the rig to take pics of the4 bruin. Hell, it was only on the ohter side of the road...just behind some bushes. Then it crossed the road, angling, towards us. At this time, we decided we'd better get back to the truck. As it was, it just continued on down into the brush on our side. Quite a sight! We managed to get a couple pics of it. I won't be solo hiking in Montana...Grizzlies are a different critter than your average black bear. I had one black bear encounter several years ago, but it took off just after a minute of lookng at me as I climbed up over a small knoll. It had been grazing on blueberries.
  4. This is about the tgime of the year that I like to go visit the Columbia River Gorge so maybe Inmywoods and I'll try to combine that with this machine. Hope the weather is better this time. Caching in the rain is for the birds.
  5. Yep, we got hit wiht a ton of water last half of the day. Called it a day after pda died out sometime after 6 pm. LUcky if we got 10 today, but we did run into Pepper and gang! Only cachers we saw all day. Anyhow, we're only an hour or so south so we'll be back up here when it's nicer and the days longer.
  6. Inmywoods adn I are taking our sweet time of it. LOL. Finally about to hit the road...I figure some night caching is in order.
  7. Been recovering from a bad cold , but Inmywoods and I'll be heading up north. I think we're going to take it easy and head out whenever we get up. Looks like my milestone cache will be on that day. Had been planning on hitting a real hike with snowshoes, but health is more important. We will be travelling in a white Subaru.
  8. And grossi completed her Triple Crown with her 100th Multi yesterday prior to the WSGA Holiday Party. Way to go my friend! Congrats grossi!
  9. Inmywoods logged her 200th Find at a beautiful, hidden spot in the Columbia River Gorge. Congrats honey!!! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...79-388d63d26980
  10. Oh yeah, congrats to Paul on his 1400 find!
  11. Congrats to grossi for her 100th LC find!
  12. Yep, snowshoes would be a good thing to bring along. And shovels...if that box is buried in the white stuff.
  13. Site is working for me. Weird thing was that yesterday, I couldn't get ot the site with AOL's browser, but could with FireFox. I discovered this after posting here and seeing that someone posted that it was working for them so I investigated further. Anyrate, I got the above SQL message earlier today, but things are fine now.
  14. What's the timeline for it to be back up?
  15. Congrats to a familiar eastside TUS!
  16. Why should snow interfere with your caching? It just makes it a little more challenging is all. How about this one in the winter? Check out the first finder's log for my Dream Cache: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...&log=y&decrypt=
  17. Way to go, Al and Koko! I just had dinner with them (at our fave Chinese restaurant, Yea's Wok), and Koko waited a good half hour before casually dropping this tidbit into the conversation. They said it was a cache in the Crossroads area. congrats!
