  2. might want to contact www.pdxgeocaching.com Most of the pdx geo folks probably hang out there.
  3. Congrats BL! Yeah, I agree with CAthy on that one...tough micro would be suitable.
  4. I'm Garmin guy, but that eXplorist 600 looks like a nice unit! Price tag is rather high though. Ouch!
  5. snowing up here in Marysville/Tulalip. Trace amounts at the house so far.

  9. I see that tolmaus recently got her 700th Find!!! Congrats!
  10. LOL. REading the logs after this one too. Yeah, I'm more on your side for sure. I'm a Night Owl. Banker's Hours caching is about as early I go anymore and heck, same thing for fishing, I have good luck in the late morning on.
  11. Good luck on that cache. I've been looking at that one for years. Couple times I almost went after it but other caches got in the way. I suppose IMW and I'll have to come down and finally get that one off my list at some point. Maybe a laptop with wireless internet might be a good thing to have so we can get this baby done in one sitting.
  12. Congrats to to alciato for hitting my Secret Spot #1 cache today for his 500th Find!
  13. Welcome to this crazy, fun sport!
  14. Thanks! I ran up the Stilly today past Kayak Pt to scout out some new areas and right where Marine View Drive crosses the river, I spotted yet another sea lion. River was muddy so no fishing.
  15. You got incredibly lucky! It would be unlikely that you would be detained for questioning when entering Canada and almost unheard of that you would be denied entry, but it is almost a given these days that you would be held for lengthy questioning when re-entering the US without proper ID. [political rant] Don't get me started on Homeland Security and those Kiddy Kops at the US port of entry. Crossing the border several times a week, I have seen so much that just makes me shake my head and clench my teeth...and try to smile politely [/political rant] Yeah, it's no joke these days! Inmywoods and I didn't have our BCs...just our DLs. WE got into Canada without too much trouble....the border lady gave us some hell, but let us through. On way back though, it was a no-nonsense type border guy with shades. He asked questions regarding stuff bought and seemed to not to believe me at first. He kept looking at back of the jeep and appeared to be about to ask for a search and re-asked the question. I replied and he let that hang for a couple minutes and let us through. I hate border crossings! Thanks to you HC, there was a quick micro for us to take a break and relax on the ohter side. p.s. Yes, we are getting our Passports and BCs to be safe for the next Vancouver or Victoria cache run.
