  3. So, three questions

1.-Do you trade? Oh heck yeah.

2.-Do you trade more than you buy? Definitely.

3.-Will you trade trackable for non-trackable or are you trading for the icon? Trackable/non-trackable whatever... Matters not to me, gotta be something I like though. :anibad:

  4. Edit to add that there still IS WAS one in Hannibal, MO!!!

 WooHoo, I got a silver GCF and a #57 to boot. I noticed a fellow Missourian found one a few days ago, so I have been keeping a Very close eye on where the GCF has been dropping coins. I was checking that very thing last night when I noticed she had visited a cache not too far away. I wasn't doing anything terribly important so I snagged the caching bag, printed off the cache page and hit the road. I arrived at where I thought would be the best approach to the cache, and headed off, apparently the area had a little rain today, and after a brisk slide down a slippery grass hill I arrived at the cache. It was a pretty easy find, I opened the lock-n-lock up and sure enough, there it was a Silver toned GCF #57, how cool is that. I swapped it out for one of my personal coins and headed back home with a big ol cheesy grin. Thank you GCF !!! I am actually going to be in the Hannibal area this week so I will get some photos there in the daytime. I also feel a bit guilty as this is my second GCF coin, I believe I'll enjoy it for awhile, get some pics and then gift it to a certain someone that I know will enjoy it. I thought about a charity auction but money isn't what this is about so, I'm thinking that passing it along is the way to go. Thanks again GCF!

Congrats to you too Luckycharmer, great pics.

  5. :) Looking to collect a couple clean crisp Compass Catcher coins so I don't go completely crazy. I don't currently have a trading list but if you let me know what you're lookin for I might be able to work something out. Thanks in advance. - 57 :)

Edit to maintain the moment of silence... sorry to hear about the deceased puter.

  6.

As far as how I feel about coins. I believe that if you say this is a LE of 100, it is for that design & that metal. If you change ANYTHING at all about the coin it is a new version of the coin with it's own value.

And that's my humble opinion. :)

Sounds right. If the LE is the LE everyone had agreed to in the union meeting. And the Antique bronze isn't actually an antique gold.

  7. So the feeling I'm getting from some of the posts concerning minting is that there is absolutely no gray area, and whether or not you have minted and sold 1 or 200 coins, whatever is posted is set in stone? Joe Schmo does not have the freedom to interpret his version of the posted quantities in the posted metals, in the posted versions? I don't think that is quite the way it should be when not everyone is on the same wavelength as to what is what concerning RE, LE, XLE, XXLE, AE etc... I would personally give a little slack to someone who has only done 1 coin sale, and didn't quite word something right in the description. Just think how pissy people would be if you didn't post a number. I bet with the right design they'd sell out regardless. It wouldn't surprise me if a number of manufacturers/designers refused to disclose mintage. Can't say as I'd blame em. What's to say the disclosed amounts are accurate anyway?
