My problem has been settled. I write the letter to contact@geocaching.com. They said they will try to solve all the problem before 27th. If you still haven't got you Souvenirs after 27th, you could write to them.

You don't have to log it on that date, just with that date. There's a grace period of usually a week or two in which you can back-log a cache and still receive the souvenir. @ianian: Did you log it with another date, then edit the log and change it to the 18th? If so, the system won't award a souvenir. Either way, you can email contact@geocaching.com and ask them to manually award the souvenir. I think it is the problem of the time zone difference. I found the cache on 15:00 18th. I log the found around 16:00 18th. But it was the China time. I thought that made the difference. I will contact the contact@geocaching.com. Thanks.

It sounds like that port may not be available. I believe this is a Windows Mobile 5 device and therefore has the GPS Intermediate Driver. This allows the applications to share the GPS device. This may not be turned on for your device. Check to make sure that the GPS is not being used by another application or turn on the GPS Intermediate Driver. This is referenced in this forum if you do a search. David It is a WM5 device. I don't know how to turn on the device. Because everytime I open a GPS soft, the GPS turns on automatically, and there will be an indicate led blinking. I am sure when I open the Wherigo player, there is no other soft using the gps. I tried the gpsgate today. I open gpsgate, make a virtual port. The GPS indicator led blinking. I start Wherigo player. Still same problem.

I installed Wherigo player on my Dopod P100, which has an internal GPS. The GPS is on COM4. But when I start the player, it tells me "An Error ocurred trying ot start the GPS device. A port name must be specified in order to open a serial connection. Port names are typically three letters followed by a number, such as 'COM7'" How could I configue the Wherigo Player?

It is ture that there are not many Chinese playing geocaching. But there are more Chinese geocachers in China as you think. If this forum is in Chinese, you could find more Chinese. I am in Shanghai. Aleung is in Guangzhou. There are some in Beijing. And I know there are some in Taiwai. I hope we could work together to promote geocaching in China.

To: Hansolo77 There are 12 caches in Shanghai. And I hope you coould hide some caches in Shanghai. Do you have some ideas of what kind of event you want to have?
