  1. You want to find caches PLACED on a particular day of the year? If so, in the PLACED DATE section of a create Pocket Query page, select the third choice down for the Between / And dates. Enter the SAME date for BOTH. The date that you are interested in. Only caches hidden on that date will be returned.

i was hoping there was a simpler way to do it with pq's. but guess not.

    thanks

  2. now you see the problem. BOTH of these caches HAVE been logged in the past and and i logged the first cache a second time and the second caches has not been logged a second time as i waiting to resolve this problem.

there are other caches that also have lost the log entry on the web site but i did not keep a list.

i log each cache by hand on each cache page.

  3. GC36RA6

    GC40936

these are two that i remember. the first has been re-logged and the second is the one i found last night that started this message and have not re=logged yet.

the rest i don't remember where they are.

i understand co's deleting messages for what ever reason but i have never gotten a message back that it had been deleted.

  4. why are there so many caches i have found that come up as not found. these are caches that have been logged and then they show as not found on the map pages. and the cache pages don't show i have logged it either?????

i have always keep a paper copy of the log file from the gps and i can go back and see where it was logged before.

  5. some where in the updating of geocaching and the updated firefox thing went south.

the geocaching page does not render properly anymore. anyone have any suggestions to fix things.

and it does make me wonder if some of these changes are made just to keep programmers busy?

just why was the home page changed?

  6. I am looking for help in the Aberdeen area near Newcastle to place a cache like the one in Twin City Cache GCQMTW and Two for the Money (GCQRGC)

The idea is for you to find a place there and i will build a cache page with clues from here that point to your cache hide and you will build a cache page about a location here.

Then people will pair up with someone from the other country to find the caches.

    Anyone interested?

  7. oh, i have gsak but do not know all the stuff it will do.

that said, i tried the smart name and loaded the pq again but the caches still come up

    with gc# rather then names.

is there something in the etrex that changes the way they are displayed?

this unit belongs to a friend and i had helped hi several month ago get it working

and at the time caches were loaded that showed with names.

i thought that maybe it was something to do with gsak but upon loading a cache from

gc.com it still displays with gc# vice names.

  8. first, i would suggest that each cache be logable as sometimes it can be very involved. look up the users itooth and squarehead look at their puzzle caches. they are very good. part of the solution goes in each cache. the last one being the final of bonus. some you must solve a puzzle to the cache and then each cache has a part of a puzzle for the final. puzzles can be very simple or very complex. when you find itooth's look at some of the other puzzles in the area. there are some very good and challenging caches in this area. also look at some of the puzzles in your area.

    have a ball puzzling.
