pay me to come and i can bring all the stuff for you for each caching trip i started with just a pda for holding html files using the garmin handheld for the actual find then added cachemate (do wish gsak would fit directly onto the pda but hey might as well pay twice for two bits of software) added spoiler sync then added memory map to the pda to help with footpaths etc and now also a blue tooth receiver to memory map/cachenav tbh, prefer using memory map/cachemate on the pda with garmin handheld.

agreed very annoying it is, i have come across a few of his that need a little tlc. I may go back to a few of his local ones and if they have not been looked after then maybe an SBA should be in order.

provided the picture is marked spoiler i think these things are not a problem, (some of us struggle without hints and spoilers), then leave it to the finder to decide if he needs a picture or a hint when doing the cache. I try to avoid using either but sometimes needs must. I once got a dnf and took a photo of the location and got laughed at by a previous finder as it was actually a spoiler, so returned and found the cache, on returning changed to show it was a spoiler.

I had no idea that was available as an option! Where do I sign up for this scheme? hmm i can see a business developing here, cacher for hire for those too busy to cache. Just let me know what cache you would like doing, I can then arrange to let you know the costs involved, it will be £80 an hour plus travelling and consumable expenses, oh and it will be cash up front.

ps - would you like us to do the caches for you as well

do a google search on babel fish and use that to translate the webpages. that aside some owners are really good and add an english translation with the native language which does make things so much easier.

If you can do better why not join up? but back on track I am sure there is no need to disable caches, I expect the police would close off any area they need to do their thing and the owners will hopefully be aware if their caches are going to cause problems.

and how much easier it would be if cachemate/spoiler sync etc got together with gsak and you had gsak for pocket pc/palm!! blimey next we could ask gc.com to improve the pocket query system or add uk county searches!

i have no problems with power trails or lots of caches in an area, i have done a couple of the canal ones and when i go back will get a couple more. some collect numbers, some collect types of caches, some just like the walk everyone does this game for different reasons, as long as it gets people out and about and enjoying themselves then its all good. if you dont like a cache, type of cache, person setting the cache or the area then dont do it and play elsewhere. play nicely children its a dangerous world We could learn a lot from crayons:some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors but they all have to learn to live in the same box

Having done a couple of caches on byways open to all traffic (BOAT'S) on new toy , I am just trying to set up a bookmark listing for caches on them. If you know of any caches that are on a BOAT please let me know and I will add it or if this has already been done on a bookmark can anyone point me in that direction. Thanks SSSSS
