GC iPhone app working but timing out with Geosphere. GSAK also timing out.

Click on the cache you want to post the field note on. Click on the button with the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner. Post a field note.

DOH, I see a statement error up above. I remember our logs being off, and I believe they were off by 8hrs (not three as stated above!) So we found to get our field notes to post correctly, we fudged our GC.com setting timezone to be equal to actual local + 8. Since we are GMT-5, this turned into -5+8 which is +3. With our GC.com setting at GMT+3, and our iPod set to true local time, all our logs have been submitting with the correct timestamp. I don't know what other effects this might have on our account, but I haven't noticed anything yet. I know it worked for us, I would be curious to see if anyone else had luck with it.... I understand the issues Groundspeak is having trying to match a new technology (smartphone) with a 13 year old website. I have been using this method of pushing my timezone to +3 for my area and it has been working. I do not see any other effects. Until GC can build a whole new web database, I am happy with this work around.

Might want to get the Life Proof case if you're gonna take it on the trail or in a yak.

Even more odd is we have 2 finds on 6/7/11 and 1 find on 6/7/12 but all 3 show up as 6/8 for both years as the found date in the PQ but have the correct date on the web page. Because of these types of errors, we are unable to use any other reporting tools tool such as MyGeocachingProfile. Very annoying as I am a database manager.

I am using an Explorist GC and I just download the zip file, open it and drop the 2 PQ files into the gpx folder. I also use it with gsak. It will keep track of your finds if you mark them as you find them and you don't delete the files from the gpx folder. If you are going to clear out the gpx folder, make sure you do not select caches you found or own when making a PQ.
