  1. Hi Guys, Will be back in SIN this week, anybody any good recommendation for a GPS store? I'm looking for a bike mount for my Garmin GPSMap 60CSx.... Haven't found to many GPS stores in SIN yet. Thanks.
  2. Well bought my GPSMap 60CSx at J&R Express in Macy's on sunday, great prices compared to Europe ! Immediately took it out for a walk through Central Park where I picked up 5 caches while trying all the new functions on my latest gadget. Thanks for the input.
  3. 400 is including sales tax and I can pick it up from the store... 325 I guess is without taxes and overnight or 2nd day delivery to the hotel.. Not to mention that a lot of online stores do not ship to hotels because they need a signature or only ship to the address that is linked to the credit card.. For now I'll stick with J&R Still open for suggestions on a downtown new york caches
  4. J&R Music Thanks, Just confirmed with J&R that store prices are the same as the online prices. At about $400 including taxes ( 8.375% ?) that's almost $300 cheaper than in europe..... Some difference in pricing I can understand, but this is outrageous. So while I'm in the city next week, any recommendations for nice caches in manhattan or the park I can do to test my new gadget on ? Alfred
  5. Pricing at J&R is about $400 compared to € 550 or $ 700 at this side of the ocean... So it's certainly worthwhile to take one home with me. I might order online and delivered to the hotel... But somehow I always kind a like to hold it before I buy. Alfred
  6. Hi, I'm visiting New York next week and plan on getting myself a new GPS. I have my mind set on a Garmin 60CSx. Can anybody recommend any good, reliable, GPS stores in the manhattan area ? Much appreciated, thanks. Greetings from The Netherlands, Europe
  7. Thanks, that's a very generous offer, but as we have limited time I'm afraid we'll have to pass on it. We 're already fully booked as it is... But, you never know when we might take you up on that offer another time ;-) Alfred Team_Vink
  8. Thanks, I'll keep this one a secret for the wife and kids, they'll have a blast....;-) Team_Vink,Netherlands
  9. Thanks, that's a start I'll have a look at those... I'm trying to find some nice caches along our route, but the sheer number of caches around is absolutely staggering......almost 29000 in CA alone ;-) That's the reason I'm asking people to suggest some special ones, sorting this out on my own definitely takes too much time. 10. Hi fellow cachers, In july we're coming over for a 3 week USA trip, although not primarily for caching, it would be nice to do some if the opportunity arises ;-) So basically I'm looking for advice, anybody know any caches along our route that are special or absolute musts ?? Route: San Francisco-Yosemite-Seqouia-Las Vegas-Zion-Grand Canyon-Bryce-Moab-Denver Any suggestions will be highly appreciated ! Team_Vink, Netherlands
  11. Go to the Dutch geocaching site, on top there is a link to 'Kaart van Nederland' it brings up a map with all dutch caches, click on the map in the Amsterdam area to bring up a more detailed map of the area. Thereafter just check the different caches by clicking the respective dots.... Haven't done much caches in the amsterdam area, but there must be plenty of good ones.... A posting in the forum on the dutch geocaching site will most likely also give you plenty of feedback. Have fun, Team_Vink
  12. Just arrived in Singapore... How was the CITO event, did I miss out on anything ? I'll go for Tower View tomorrow, right now I.m on my way to presidential palace. Alfred
  13. I won't try Yamash!ta's Gold by myself.........I'll guess I'll have a go at 'Tower View' and 'A walk through the woods' then. I know where to look for Tower View, just hope there aren't as many soldiers as last time I was there.....
  14. As it looks now I'll be off to Singapore tomorrow... I'll be too late to arrive for the CITO event, but I would like to do some kind of jungle cache on sunday (23rd) or monday(24th). I am by myself this time, so if anybody wants to join for Yamas***a's gold or one of the Forest Walk caches.... Otherwise I'll have another go at Tower View, can't stand it that I was unable to get a good look at the site the last time I was in Singapore... Any takers ? You can get a glimpse of who you are dealing with from my last log of 'Tower View'......although that might scare you off ;-)
