  1. ....or a £15 cable from ebay which will work with 64bit
  2. More on Cromwell... What other saying is he famous for? (Hint: painting)
  3. What operating system are you using? Just noticed on the Garmin website The drivers for this product are not compatible in a 64-bit environment
  4. Not sure on the 450, but on other Garmin models you need to set the battery type in the settings
  5. Cromwell would fit the bill...both with civil war & God...?
  6. Although there isn't many which haven't been found in the last year A couple of HARD puzzles...
  7. It depends on your local reviewer, if they are busy, or got lots to review it can take longer...but usually less than 3 days
  8. On the search page use Found by Username:
  9. http://www.techblazer.com/geocaching-log-sheets/ is a good site with quite a few on

  11. The etrex H is a great little GPSr, but it's just that...it doesn't have any cache details on it apart from the co-ordinates. You could use your phone for reading the cache details and then use the etrex to find them. One things though is to get the most of it you need a cable (£15), and unless you want to download co-ordinates one at a time premium membership. Ebay is your best bet, but search about, I got my step-son one for £20
  12. Looks a nice until, but a word of caution... Most Garmin units have 'Geocaching-friendly (y/n)' in their specs and there is no mention of this on the Rino page... Field notes are an excellent tool It makes it a lot easier when you get home, although I generally jot a quick note about the cache in a book as typing with a GPSr isn't the easiest of things to do!!
  13. You can get a Dakota 20 for not much more which would be worth looking into, A Dakota 10 will give you paperless for your budget but having a SD card (in the 20) would be worth the extra. Or wait a little until they release the new etrex range over here and see what they come in at?
  14. I've only had this happen with a dodgy GPX file, once deleted it booted OK. Try the things on the page Splashy mentioned, if not then give Garmin a ring
  15. Where on earth do you cache!!! More info is needed.....
  16. About a month ago I lent down to get a cache under a firethorn bush and stabbed my palm in a fallen thorn. Nothing much happened at first as I though I'd got it out, but a month later it's now gone septic and I'm on antibiotics (I guess it will have to be cut out sometime). So what's the worst you've had happen on a caching adventure? Apart from nettles etc which are par for the course......
  17. Or for UK based maps talkytoaster
  18. Same here, worked fine last night when I uploaded some. As webscount mentioned are you trying to upload directly from the device or using GSAK etc?
  19. What browser are you using as the plugin only works with some of them (list). Rather than send individual caches it would be best to learn about PQ's
  20. I guess the cheapest in the UK is the Dakota 10 which would set you back £150 new. Although if it were me I'd save a bit more and get a Dakota 20 (about £190) as the SD slot means you can put more maps etc on the device. You can get refurbished units about £50 cheaper than new ones. The other alternative is to decide on what you want and check out ebay, I got my Colorado off there for a good price.
  21. Ok..seeing it's my turn for a question....easy one What do the rings on the Olympic flag/banner represent?
