+1 a good GPS (like the 50) is the way to go, once you start using one then you'll never want to go back to a phone...
-
There are lots of cave and tunnel caches around the UK
Nice list Mrs B very handy as I fancy a tunnel cache....although the nearest is 100 miles away
-
The easy way....GSAK and my GPS
-
Those close by give a hint!

Suggested Retail Price: £ 349.99
Ouch! you can get a Montana for that!
-
I thought Geomate went bust, so no more updates?
-
Not easy to find but...
Navigate to Geocache > Compass Then hit the menu (usually left button) Destination > Add Waypoint
or Navigate to Geocache > Map then Add Waypoint
Told you it wasn't easy!!
-
Correct, you need an OM to remove MN tags
-
Hi TommoNEryn, I notice you have only found one cache..one of mine
It depends on your budget, but the etrex 20 would be a good buy.
-
Sorry should have been more specific, it's a GPX file And as you say it does give the GC code.
Dropping from the cache listing gives the cache name
-
What budget are you thinking of?
I've only ever used Garmin, and like Glenn says there are loads of free maps for them so you can put a map on for where you are going.
I like my Oregon 450, but if you don't mind something larger (heaver) then the Montanna is the one to go for.
-
Not sure if it's a bug...or by design.
I dropped a GPX file, and it does show on the map...but it only shows the icon with no data associated with it. Clicking the icon just brings up the standard 'i' info.
-
The GME options now work
Everything else seems to be working OK so far (Opera 12, XP SP3)
-
As well as posting a found it log post a needs maintenance one and explain things. Cache owners get notified of an NM logs
-
It's not often I need the menu (hopefully it will be fixed before I do!), but thanks for the info
-
I'm not a Wherigo player as there are none near me, but have both the GPS...what are you after?
-
I've a similar cache, it's listed it as a 'not chosen' size but I put a note in the listing saying it is housed in a regular sized container.
-
I've just noticed there is a problem (0.5.10), when I try to view the GME options all I see is a black screen. I think it's related to the recent upgrade to Opera 12 as it was fine before.
On another PC (also Windows 7/ Opera 12) I get a similar issue, but the 'i' menu pops up.
-
I just jot a few reminders on my 450 and then use GSAK to do the 'proper' logs. It's easier to type with a stylus than fingers on the 450...unless you have skinny hands!!
-
That's because the HR tag has no COLOR attribute, see here.
A way to colour it is with CSS, not sure (not that I've looked!) if you can do it on a cache page though.
-
Depends....
If I view a cache before going out to find it then I'll look at the attributes. But mostly I just go out and use the GPSr (Oregon/Colorado)....which has been mentioned don't support attributes (gpx 1.0.1?)
-
You'll probably find it far less complicated to just sit down at the computer when you get home and log them the old fashioned way.
Nah!! Field notes are the way to go
-
Hide it first as once you submit to the reviewer then it could be published before you actually hide it!
-
I'm not 100% what you mean, but the files you downloaded, are you sure they are .gpx files? As you are not a PM I didn't think you could download them, only .loc files which don't have the same information in them....although I've never used them...so they could show as waypoints??
Hopefully someone has more ideas.
