  1. For sale: PCMCIA/CARDBUS adapter card. I used this to transfer info/data from laptop to GPS. It may have other uses that I'm not aware of. It is described as High Speed Serial Prot RS232 C. I paid $19.95 for it and will take $5.00 + postage. I have pic but don't know how to attach but if anyone if interested, I can email pic to you.
  2. Sounds like to me reviewer should be notified and maybe be a little more involved in checking these before approving.
  3. Works perfectly which is why I suggested it! Well it always did for me also until the "new" page look......after you said try it, I though maybe it was something to do with my version of IE. But , no ! I have IE-7 on one computer and IE-6 on another and won't decrypt with either........I tried "print friendly" and then decrypt...nope--------then I tried decrypt(and it will) but when you then select print friendly, it is encrypted again !!
  4. Click on the decrypt button before you print and it will be decrypted! I already tried that before posting.........won't work for me, you try it!
  5. In re: to Print friendly pages..........when I select this option, the hints are always still encrypted. Is this something that will be fixed? I have not done a query, so I don't know if hints are de-crypted there or not.
  6. Oh my gosh!! I just put myself in a group with many of you here....Too much time on my hands!! So, I just don't buy food, medicine, or pay my bills so I can sit around and "B___h" about having to pay $30. to find MO caches. Guess I'll just have to find myself a nice park bench and whittle. Maybe someone will give me a knife and a piece of wood. Then my question to you is why do you argue one issue when your problem is with the other? In the case that you presented "the starving student," I can accept that as a reason not to be Premium member. For someone who caches all the time, but refuses to "pony up" $30.00, I consider them a bit "parasitic." I debate these topics to defend those of us who like to hide PMOCs as a perk to other monetary supporters of this site. I have 81 active hides, 15 of them are currently PMOCs. If a cacher can't afford to pay for a premium membership, they can find my other 66 caches. I will never buy into the Elitism argument, unless premium memberships costs rise to hundreds of dollars.
  7. Been off line for a while.....thanks to all replys.
  8. Some time ago I put a couple of caches on list to "ignore" when I was doing a filter search. Now I want them to show up on search and I don't know how to take them off of the list. Will someone tell me how to do this? Thanks.
  9. I recently purchased a PCMCIA adapter card. The Garmin people told me that the serial to usb cables only worked about 50% of the time!! The cardbus that I got is great. A little "tricky" to install (but I'm not a computer whiz). Got it from "Computer Geeks" www.geeks.com part # RS232-PCMCIA = $19.95 + $8.00 s/h That is $30.00 lesss than card at local electronic stores and $20.00 less than cable that not guaranteed to work...
  10. I just purchased laptop that only has USB ports. I have Garmin Legend & Garmin V...anyone been able to download data by using adapter from serial/usb cable? If so, where do I get cable/converter?

    Tb

I am in KY and have passed a TB to a fellow cacher who is going to take it to FL to place in a cache. How do I transfer the TB form my inventory to his?
  12. Thanks for the replys...I thought I really wanted the Garmin V and the diff in $$ is not that much, but was concerned that it would be too bulky and maybe "overkill" for caching.....I'm not an impulse buyer....I've been pondering this for a couple of months now but if I am going to take advantage of rebate, i've got to do it now.
  13. I am undecided about whitch to buy...Garmin V Deluxe or Garmin eTrex Legend. My primary use would be in geocaching. Does the Legend have the same features as the eTrex (basic-camo unit) plus other features. After reading some of the forums, I have almost ruled out the Garmin V....My main concern is can long/lat coords be entered in the Legend and then a "go to"? Also can you mark your present location in long/lat (to use when hiding a cache)?
