  1. I'm interested in reviewing an old event I once held. Want to read the logs. Can't find the event in the lists of my caches. Where would I find it?
  2. So there were agreements to acquire the Magic trackable. Can anyone remind me what is expected of me with this thing? I would like to see again the questionnaire I replied to in order to get the trackable.
  3. I don't recall getting an e-mail saying I would receive a trackable, but a few days ago I did!
  4. Some time ago I participated in the Michelin Man Adventure. My photo won a consolation prize. I had an account at Walmart with the photos and I linked them in my profile to where they would display - the photos, not the link to them. Then I lost my account to Walmart and now the photos no longer display. I tried having them displayed from my Facebook photo album with no luck. Is it even possible to still do this? Can anyone help me with this? It works here! But not in my profile.
  5. under the large photo to the right is a gear looking symbol. That is for settings. Click it and you will see the link to edit your profile.
  6. Thanks so much. Most helpful indeed. Off I go to creating more Pocket Queries.
  7. So I performed a search of all caches in the state of Louisiana and came up with a total of over 6000 caches. They will only map or list the first 1000. I've sorted by date forward and backwards but can't get a display of some of the middle of the list. In other words by listing backwards the list starts at current date and goes back to some time in 2015. By listing forward from earliest cache toward present it starts at oldest cache in state and stops some time in 2008. How do I list from 2008 to 2015? Also, since I may only be seeing 2000 - 1000 forward and 1000 backward, how do I see the 4000 in the middle?
  8. If you already have a set, why can't you just request new copies of the same plate? They should already have you on record for the ones you have. Replacing damaged, aged plates with copies should pose no problem. It was that easy for me to get new personalize plates here in Louisiana anyway.
  9. For the second time to me I noticed the website has recorded my find ahead of schedule (in other words, if found today it is logged by the site as being found tomorrow). I have also noticed one other player this has happened. I'm trying to fill in the dates on the calendar for caches found on each day of the year. That player I noticed that logged a day ahead informed me it was logged at 7:pm. My 2 that were miss dated were logged as found by me at around 9 or 9:30 pm. Any fix?
  10. Hey there's a thought I hadn't come around to yet. Thanks. That'll work for me as I will not be FTF. It wouldn't work for FTF though.
  11. I'm looking for a quick and simple way to search cache owner's handle in alpha-numerical order. Anyone?
  12. When setting up a notification, there is this option: Or you can input a postal code. http://www.geocaching.com/notify/edit.aspx http://www.geocaching.com/about/premium.aspx#anchorNotify Darn. And thanks! B.
  13. How do I expand the area that I will get new cache notifications? More specifically, how do I set up notifications for a particular area that is at some distance from me and not currently in the area I normally get these notifications for? I don't want to change my home area as I might miss new cache notifications for my area. So, how - is it possible?
  14. That's faster than the Jimmy John's delivery guy. I think my record was 5 minutes. I was visiting the supermarket across the road from GZ when the cache was published. Mine was about 10 days before publication. A new trail opened up and I was looking for a spot to hide a cache. Found a pill bottle with a fresh logbook, in a stump by a bench. I found my first before even becoming a member. And I've found caches before they were published while looking for locations to place a hide too.
  15. I'd suggest using the simple math technique. Using the 5 numbers you noted above, the total would be 1522.287 This would then be converted to N 15 22.287 Using all 40 N numbers would likely get you a total that makes more sense as coords. Perhaps double-check that you're subtracting the negative and adding positive numbers correctly. For Louisiana, it looks like your North total would be somewhere between 2915.xxx and 3254.xxx Are you not getting a total that's somewhere between these two? Don't post all 40 numbers here in the forums though, as that would give away the final coords. Don't worry, I only gave examples and not the actual clues. No, my total is coming out to be way up in a northern state, which I know is incorrect. So, would adding all the negatives together and subtracting the result from the sum of all the positives be correct?
  16. This sounds more like a puzzle cache than a challenge. If it really is a challenge cache, can you post the GC code here so we can look at its requirements? What you describe sounds like a very odd challenge. However, if it's actually a puzzle cache, please don't post the GC code here. The forum guidelines prohibit the sharing of puzzle solutions, and posting the GC code could lead to someone doing just that. If it's a puzzle, the advice that's usually given is to contact the cache's owner if you need help. Most cache owners want their caches to be found, so they'll generally be happy to help you along. GC25HV7 Note: I've found all 40.
  17. It's more like this: N +986.555 N +365.402 N +157.751 N -33.301 N + 45.880 and similar on W. Is this done as simple math based on units of 10s or is it more complicated based on 60s as in time (seconds, minutes) and I don't know about degrees???
  18. Okay, I'm attempting to complete a challenge. I have a list of coordinates I must tally up to come up with a new set of coordinates. The 2 columns are N and W and each have positives and negatives. I was given a hint as to what the final should look approximately like, but my tallies come nowhere near looking as advised. Guess I'm doing it all wrong. Help please?
  19. How do I enter searches for those caches that have been around for some time and is never found, barely/rarely found both near me and distant from me? For the distant ones - without having to enter cords, locations?
  20. Connect your gps to your computer. Open waypoints file. Click on the files that you want to delete one by one and delete them. Thanks, I did it using Delorme Topo North America 9.0 sync.
  21. I'm using DeLorme Earthmate PN-60. I just want to clean up unused items such as these. I have one that is used, but these unused and empty are distractions I want gone. The only delete I see is by symbol, but that doesn't make these 5 go away.
  22. Starting at home page > Geocaches > enter > menu > file > enter > open > enter > HERE is a list of 5 files I want deleted. They are all empty. How do I delete these 5 files?
