  1. A moment of silence for the MIA cache..... Other than that, what they said, sorry for your loss. Maybee I will plant a tree in it's honor.
  2. Well, I'm from New Orleans. If I can deal with the mosquitos down here, nothing should bother me. As for beef jerky, well, that's my favorite food, so no problem! I even make my own... hey I wonder if that would be a good thing to leave in a cache? While some of us might enjoy the snack, food should not be placed in a cache. Although you could send some my way if you want.
  3. I'm more afraid of rush hour traffic, than getting hurt while caching or because of a cache.
  4. If you keep that up I will turn us right around and go home.
  5. thats it I give up, we can go home now.
  6. I'd have to say a 4, just because water levels can change. I would clearly describe what may be entailed in getting to this one. I'll take my eight year old on a 3 or 3.5, but when it gets 4 or higher I talk with others that have done it to see if it is something he can do.
  7. I agree with the previous two. The worst thing that can happen is the owner tells you that was were it was suppose to be and calls you an idiot for relocating the cache. I would probably have done what you did.
  8. ( when you loose signal it starts making gasping sounds) need air, can't breath, I think I see my ancestors, heading towards the light.
  9. Would there still be this incessant bickering about what is and isn't a find? Probably even more so Would there be an 18 page thread squabbling about "The New Numbers Game"? No but they would find spmething else to complain about for days on end Would there be so many pointless parking lot micros (spew)? YES, people like to hide and people like to find. Would people still log events multiple times? Probably not. Would "pocket caches" have been invented? Possibly, but it would be to show off a cool container rather than for numbers. Would somebody write on the outside of containers instead of the logbook to set a record? Maybee, because people would still keep track of the numbers. Would somebody delete somebody else's log because they signed as a team rather than an individual? I'm willing to bet so, numbers won't change some people oppinions. Would sombody else log their own cache to compensate for logs that were deleted? Probably not, but there are idiots out there. Would everyone quit geocaching if they didn't get to score a point for each cache that they found? Maybee a few, but I'm willing to bet far more gave it up because of all the fighting going on. ( not just in the forums) Would there be a mass geocide if the numbers suddenly disappeared? Seriously doubt it. The question I have is would you be able to find geocoins in caches instead of event tables?
  10. (The woundefull quote from Braveheat) The Lord tells me he can get me out of this mess. But, he's pretty sure you're f***ed.
  11. Press red button to abort missile launch. ( no red button of corse) (Have it ramdomly make farting noise while inside city limits)
  12. Nice to see someone new. I can assure you that most reststops in AZ have been covered cache wise. As has most off ramps once you get out of the city. Good luck on the hunt. Try to get to some of the events, most of them are on your side of town and you will get to meet some intresting people with lots of stories. I have been to several and if you don't go you will be missing out, trust me. These are also the people who hide the caches you did or did not find. I have gotten many clues from them, and learned about some great caches that I want to visit. The bonus round is if you can get to go on a caching run with them, you learn alot about hunting and hiding caches.
  13. Than let me be the first to say hello back, welcome to the wounderfull and frustrating world of geocaching. Good luck.
  14. What they said seems to be how most view it. I to like to look at my DNF logs and wounder how the heck I could have missed that one.

    Hi!

What on Earth are you doing here than, you should be out caching. Abandon all other things in your life and hunt them down. Quit your job ands sell off everything you own and spend all of the money on caching. Just a sugestion. Or you could go out when you have time and enjoy this wounderfull addiction.
  16. Oh good lord watch out she is stroking the pigs....er....ego. Everyone run for the hills.
  17. ( used only after finding the cache) You did waypoint your car right? I got us here now you get us back. please insert five dollars for instructions to your vehicle, ten for accurate ones.
  18. Where the heck have you taken me? or I know where we are do you?
  19. I don't remember where I saw it but they have similar devices for parents to put on there kids. They had them in watches, necklaces, and bracelets. So if the child wandered off or got abducted the parent could find them. Not sure if it was GPS tracking device or just a transmitter and a reciever. Anyone know about this let me know where I saw it.
  20. I hate to admit it, but on long cache runs 30- 40 caches unless something stands out in my mind about the cache I usualy do the cut and past thing. A few weekends ago I did 40 in a weekend trip up north to get out of the heat. I did the usual # out of 40 on a northern run this weekend on all of them, than added whatever if anything stood out about it. I do not realy like doing the cut and past thing but with that many they blur together. I do make sure to keep track off all trades that I do and note that in the log. So I guess I am a half cut and paster. After I log my finds I get to do them all over again on my sons account, and those usualy get a standar cut and paste job, but I do mention that I am logging it for him. He is eight and it is hard to get him to log more than five at a time. I do ask him if any of the caches we did stick out in his mind and why. Than I add what he told me to that log. I do make him log all events he attends. I agree that it is nice to have a nice personal log as apposed to a standard reply.
  21. Seriously the OT is a great place to escape, no fights, angst, and always lots of cheese.
  22. Actually, that's the thread that got me looking in the first place!! I almost had a baby over that one, and I'm not even pregnant! I.LOVE.THE.PIG!! Just don't let the pig hear you say that, he may want to love you back.
  23. Here is the human TB, nice guy. His tattoo artist did great work on it. Human TB An not as impressive but medium size Polly the pin I have heard there was a toilet TB out there some where.
  24. Me too. Also if they did get approval that would make it a traveling cache where people log it more than once. I would suggest they sign the outside of the coffee shop just to add maximum fuel for the fire when it gets talked about in here.
