  1. This is possible in the paid app too. You Navigate to Geocache and once in the map (or satellite view) menu -> add waypoint. Then you get a dialog window to add a name and coordinates for the waypoint. You can then navigate to this rather than use the compass. There is also a "Use My Current Location" option if you are hiding a cache or just need to make some notes.
  2. I ended up just taking the one as I was unable to find more than one cache listed within 3 miles of our hotel that wasn't micro or nano. I was excited about this cache as it had 4 travel bugs in it, I planed on bringing one or two home with me. I didn't check their logs until tonight when I was logging the visit... All 4 were not in the cache. I did leave the traveler I had with me in this cache. In hindsight that probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.
  3. All 3 of the bugs at which I am looking have no mission or have a worldwide mission. I will be moving them along their way.
  4. I currently have in my possession, one Travel Bug. I am going on a weekend vacation this coming weekend (about 3 hours away) and see two other caches near me with TBs. Is it considered poor form if I was to gather up all of these local bugs and take them with me to the new area?
  5. My first true find was the Fish Out of State cache. I did find two others, but they were ones Geo Ba had found previously and he was giving hints even if inadvertently. But the Fish Out of State was all mine, it felt really good.
  6. We started at the Home Depot on 355, got the one there and the one behind it. Then we headed to Carroll Creek and went after the two on the creek (still couldn't find Fergus' mural cache) then moved on to the Courthouse cache and the bridge in Baker Park cache. We also hit Fish out of state. 7 total we went after, found 6. All of the kids had a great time. I think we walked about 3 miles (and 6 flights of stairs) and there was very little complaining. In fact there was more complaining when we stopped than when we were walking. Hoping to get a couple tomorrow after school, I think we're going to hit the Ballenger Creek park caches.
  7. That is a great help, thanks niraD.
  8. Hit 7 caches with Geo Ba today, found 6 of them. Great time, kids are exhausted (as is Dad).
  9. Just started geocacheing. It is something I've wanted to do for years, but just never got around to doing any. I would love to find some other cachers in the area. I've gone looking for the 3 caches right around Carroll Creek, but have has 0 luck with any of them. I currently am using the geocache app on my iphone (but it is burning through my data plan, as I don't have unlimited) and a tomtom one. Hoping to get a dedicated GPS I can use for caching soon.
