  1. I recently upgraded from a Garmin 60CS to an Oregon 450 and have been trying to get everything set up so I can go paperless. There is one last issue I haven't been able to resolve. Has anyone come up with a good way to flag certain caches in the GPSr as "to dos" for the day? I want to keep a large number of caches on my device but be able to quickly find the ones I planned on doing for the day. My initial plan was to use GSAK to append "TODO" onto the end of the cache names that were of interest but some of the names become too long and weren't searchable on the GPSr. Just wondering if anyone has resolved this "issue." Thanks.
  2. I've had the Rayovac 15-minute rechargable batteries now for a while and I find them to be excellent. My GPSmap 60CS can run off one set of batteries all day with the compass turned on. They really do charge in 15 minutes and I haven't noticed any degradation in how long they last. The only downside is that they do lose their charge if you let them sit around for a few weeks but this is hardly a problem since you can recharge them in 15 minutes!
  3. I use the 15 minute rechargable batteries from Rayovac and they seem to work wonderfully. I can go geocaching all day long and still be on the same two batteries. I also have a 60cs. And it really does only take 15 minutes to recharge them. The only downside is that they do discharge if you don't use them for a few weeks but I hardly find this to be a problem since I can recharge them in 15 minutes before I depart on a geocaching adventure.
  4. I also thought it may be the car.. Thankfully it was a rental car and is now gone. I guess I'll just have to wait and see if the problem continues.
  5. I just came back from a two week vacation in Wyoming and South Dakota and my 60CS kept losing the signals from ALL of the satellites. All of a sudden the signal bars would just drop to nothing and the GPS would say there was no signal. Then suddenly after a period ranging from a few seconds to endless minutes they would jump back up and the GPSr would be fine. This kept going on sporadically for days. At first I thought it may be a solar flare but after it continued on for days I couldn't conceive of any explanation. I also had my old Vista with me and the exact same thing kept happening with it at the exact same time. I was out in vast desolate plains most of the time this kept happening so nothing was blocking the signals. I was in the car when this would happen but I don't see how I would suddenly lose all of the signals like that. Does anyone have any ideas? I am truly baffled by this... I haven't done extensive testing here in St. Louis so I'm unsure if the problem is continuing.
