  1. I don't know how I did it but after a hunt today I noticed a huge gouge on the upper part of my screen. GPS MAP 60cs. The very first thing I did when I recieved my gpsr was applying the Invisible shield and I'm glad I did. It looked pretty bad, but after a few hours in the sun it vanished, Gone. I couldn't belive it. It must have some sort of memory to restore the film. Best $15.00 I ever spent reguarding this purchase. Just thought I would pass this along to anyone buying a product that could use some protection on the screen. I'm impressed!
  2. This is a great question, I don't know. How do I go about finding out where and when in my state? I live in Montana and would love to attend a CITO event if not to far away. Should I rely on my weekly pocket queries to alert me, or should I get off my lazy rump and start one? Wow, I guess I just answered my own question.
  3. I have cachemate version 4.1.1, Either it didn't come packaged with mathlib or I did something wrong during the install. This kind of stuff is what makes it so much fun for me. I've been a mechanic most of my life. It's nice to be able to fix things without getting my hands dirty! Of course with the help of you all. Many thanks.
  4. I've had my 60cs for almost a year now and couldn't be happier. Honestley I was thinking about selling my 60cs for the csx but have decided to stick with what I have. It does everyhing I want it to perfectly. And oddly as this may sound to some who know more than I do, I actually find better accuracy oriented horizontal. I noticed this the last couple times I was out hunting. But then I'm only talking about the accuracy that shows up on the gpsr screen. I have never had a problem getting very close to the cahce I'm looking for. I am now seeing "d's" and strong signals in my back yard the past couple months that I have never been able to get before. Last cache I was looking for in the compass screen had me zeroed out, I thought something was wrong, nothing around, turned out I was standing right on top of it!! Literatly. Just my 2 cents.
  5. Got it. So simple yet so difficulut for some like me. Thanks again.
  6. One last question with this, (sorry about the multiple posts) How do I change from KM to MILES?? Thanks again
  7. Please disregard, Ya gota love Goggle, I downloaded it, Hotsync and wham, followed your instructions and it worked like a charm! Thanks Cardinal for the help, been wanting to do this for months!!
  8. I was curious about this same qestion so I tried your instructiions and got an error saying" This funtion requires Mathlib to be installed" As a matter of fact I get that same screen many times. How do I go about installing Mathlib if you don't mind me asking. Thanks, Steve
  9. Can you provide me with a link to the GSAK site? I can't seem to find it. Thanks again.
  10. My computer crashed, I really think Norton caused it, anyhow, I got everything back up and running but now when I try GSAK I get a "Validation Failure" screen and says" I have a version of GSAK that is corrupt. please download GSAK and install" Question I have is will I lose everything, where do I go to download and will I have to purchase it again? Appreciate any advice in advance, Thanks.
  11. This has probably been mentioned numerous times but I came across this site where you can view all satellites in 3D, click on them, zoom in or out, search for a satellite and do all sorts of things. Drop down and select J Track 3D. At least I thought it was pretty cool. http://science.nasa.gov/Realtime/jtrack/ I belive it's been around for a long time, but some of the newer folks might find it interesting.
  12. I'm useing winxp home and have the buttons just fine but do have a question. I have a GPSMAP60cs and noticed there is a version 4.06 beta software update for it. Will WebUpdater automatically update to that version or do I have to mannually do it? Is it wise to use the beta version or wait? Thanks for any advice.
  13. From the map page press MENU, Setup Map, ENTER. One of the maps you have loaded will be listed. You can press MENU again then hide the base map If I recall. This should show the maps you loaded. Hope this helps, if not there will be other folks that know more than I do that will chime in for help.
  14. That sounds like a good price. I paid $395.99 with free shipping from GPS Discount. Had it within three days. At the same time I ordered the AutoNav kit for $144.90. I recall others who got it cheaper at other places too. But I really liked the customer service fro GPS Discount.
  15. Thanks Milbank, That makes since now. I just updated Mapsource. When I look at the drop down window at top left it shows City select North America V6. I was hoping I could upgrade to V7. This is going to get expensive! Thanks for the quick reply.
  16. I bought City select NA version 6 a few months ago and updated to version 6.8 with no problems. Now when I click on "check for software updates" it says "there are no software updates currently available for MapSource" Anyone have a clue why I can't upgrade to v7. My only guess is that I may need to contact Garmin?
  17. I got the Zire 31 but unless I'm cacheing at night I can hardly read it, now I'm looking for some kind of cape I can cover my head with so I can read it in the daylight. Won't that be a sight to behold. I look silly enough most of time as it is.
  18. The Leprechauns, Thank you. I don't know yet how useful this will be, but it's kind of cool. Thanks again.
  19. I didn't even know this feature exsisted. Can anyone tell me how to access these maps? I've searched the site with no luck. Learned something new today, Thanks for any help.
  20. I'm with Lita, I have always wanted to travel to New Zealand.
