Thanks Markwell, came out just fine. Way easier and exactly as I thought it should work! Ended up using my GPS to check the co-ord's of the city, although Maporama is handy to know about too.

Hi folks, had my GPS for a while but due to the really hot summers out here in the Gulf, it is not good for this hobby. I just today logged my second find and it got me all excited again. I am off back home to South Africa for a short vacation next week and wanted to find some caches close to where I will be going. Unfortunately, when I looked up SA, there is just a long list of caches but I could not find a way to list only those in the area I am visiting. Am I missing something on how to search properly? It occured to me that it would be very helpful to have a means of logging in a co-ordinate (such as a city) and then doing a search dependant on the radius from that co-ordinate for the caches. Any help? I tried doing a search but it seems that this function is disabled (I guess due to the servier issues)

Hi folks, I am new to all this, just having got my Legend C last weekend & only one cache under my belt (only two more to go here in Qatar). I didnt find a sand dune waypoint icon so did a little experimenting of my own and came up with one simply using MS Paint & uploading with ximage. It might be handy for anyone else, I am happy to send it on or pass it to someone running a central database, if there is one around here somewhere. Like a previous msg, it seems a little tricky to simply add it into this window Cheers Kelvin
