  1. If the SEALs were still there maybe...... Can't resist a uniform, huh Jodi? Maybe we could wear a Burka.........or one of those white Hazzmat suits we had for the Glowstick Smackdown. Surely , we could go unoticed and start a power trail.........maybe the ET Highway...Pakistan version. You know how cachers are, they go anywhere!! Splashette W-e-l-l ... you've got the GZ (pardon the expression) coordinates. On the other hand I have the impression that cornsilk blondes are reather uncommon in Pakistan. ... come t' think of it, cornsilk blondes are rather uncommon in the redneck tri-cities as well. I can see it now ... "Does this burka make my butt look big?" Kiss-kiss, Harmon Harmon, where do you get the 'cornsilk' stuff.............you always told me my hair looked like a haystack! (especially when caching)!! You crack me up....."Does this burka make my butt look big".......I just have to laugh! That will never die............. Still...........I bet there are lots of dirt roads in Pakistan that are ripe for a power trail.........we could call it, The Burka Boogie......... I'll have to confer with Jodi........... Janie:anitongue: New cache attributes: IEDs Dear DTBMMBLB, Did I ever mention to you that DTCMMBLB was and still is my favorite moment of Geocaching? That moment was so full of joy and laughter that I know for certain that you secretly share my delight that it was photographed. How wonderful it is that DTCMMBLB has become so admired that other vine-ripened ladies have reenacted the incident ... not to name any names of course. Hmm, that reminds me ... let me know what Jodi thinks of the Burka Boogie. On another topic, haystack was always after you stuck your lovely head into a Sumac bush while looking for a Bison tube. Cornsilk was when beeth thtuck their bodieth into your hair 'cauthe they couldn't rethitht. OceanHugger, You bring up a good point about Geocaching in Pakistan. Fortunately I have the answer for avoiding IEDs ... same as avoiding snakes. Always hike with a partner and do make sure that your partner is ahead of you when on the trail or when bushwhacking or bouldering. That way you'll be able to run for help if your partner has an encounter. No charge, Harmon SD Rowdies If a cache is ever placed at those coordinates, I'll be sure to take you along and to let the caching veteran lead ahead if the newbie.

  3. I'm fairly new to geocaching but am beyond hopelessly addicted. I noticed that a trail behind my house is next to barren of geocaches and I've been working on camo'ing 15-20 cache containers for a two mile trail loop. I was wondering if anybody knows how well does Gaff tape hold up for camo. I noticed that Ritz Crackers uses some kind of green/brown textured paint for some of his bikeNcache series and I was wondering if anybody knows what he uses? Also, if some of the caches are handicap accessible but the overall trail is only foot and bike friendly, should I rate it based on the length of the entire trail (2.5ish) or individually based on if some of the caches have nearby parking? It's a trail loop smack dab in the middle of the 56 and I hope to publish it before mothers day, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  4. I made a passport that can be used to attach to a trackable. With a fuller explanation than what is provided on an actual travel bug, hopefully the bug will stay in play longer. Also, it makes it more exciting for those who help it travel when they see a log of where it's been... kind of like an actual geocache! Here is the link to my passport that I've uploaded on to my iDisk in PDF format. It is meant to be folded in to a quarter sheet size booklet and a hole punch can be made in the upper left corner of a folded booklet to attach to the trackable. http://files.me.com/oceanhugger/n4lmcr
