To get past the IE mobile one page joke you can install the minimo browser, it lets you have multiple tabs open.

Could we get some kind of update for uploading routes? A search has shown people have had problems uploading routes for sometime and I find nothing with a response showing anything is being done about it. Thank you.

When I try to upload a route to find caches along a route my route does not show up. It goes through the whole process, acts like it is uploading then you get to the screen to save the route and there is no routes to save. I have tried from two different PC's both running XP pro using Firefox 2.0.0.7 and IE 7, I have also tried KML and GPX files with no luck. Any ideas, Thanks

With MetroGuide and Nroute you do not get auto routing, it will only show you where you are. MS Streets and Trips will auto route with voice propmting with the Legend hooked up.

Metroguide will only autoroute on the computer, not the GPS. Like Renegade said your GPS is routing from the base map, which only has the major roads.

Put in disk 1 and start a new install then it should come up with options to modify, repair, or remove. Choose modify and it should come up with the 4 areas you can install. The last thread will not help you as Topo Canada installs to the hard drive, US Topo does not.

Thats about it. You could get microsoft streets and trips for 30-40 bucks and use your 130 and get turn by turn with voice prompting, alot cheaper than city select which I dont believe will work with your 130.

Nroute will not give turn by turn directions with Metroguide it will only show where you are and have been. You need city select or city navigator.

You can use a USB to serial adapter or you could add a serial port to you PC. The manual you listed shows the motherboard has a serial port connector(com1) on it.

I have an etrex legend and use nroute with metroguide NA on my laptop, but would like to have turn by turn directions on the laptop. I use a seiral to usb adapter and this makes the computer see the USB as a com port. Does anyone know if this setup will work with 2006 streets and trips? Thanks

Does anyone know if S&T will autoroute with a etrex legend hooked up to a laptop with a serial to usb adapter? I have nroute with metro guide NA, but would like autorouting on my laptop.

I have Metro Guide NA version 6.01 and can hookup to a laptop for realtime, but when I updated I lost this feature , so I had to uninstall and reinstall and no more updating for me. I searched Garmins site and had no luck finding a free nroute, I think it only comes with the GPS 18, but could be wrong.

The 24K only has the National Parks and some forests. It does not have any detail outside of these areas. If your looking for just NP's then the 24K has alot more detail.

If your talking about seeing the caches in Google Earth you do not need to be a premium member. Go to your account and on the right side click on "Download Geocache browser in Google Earth".

I looked at my central edition and the entire superior national forest including the BWCA and voyaguers national park is 35.6 megs. Each block ranges in size from 3kb to about 500kb. If you want the size of a certain area let me know and I'll find out.

I did this with some Mapsource products it worked fine but only in a dvd drive, a cd rom drive wouldn't read it.
