Bad reception and technical difficulties we heard only the last two song. I would have to say...neither was very impressive... At least from the reading of the column it sounds like Talor may be the one.....Tomorrow.....

I have never received mine. Hopefully I was in the one sent out May 17. I've never recieved any notice of when the coins shipped. 3.5 months...sounds like another coin...

I looked and no one listed the two finalists or who went home. What a crew. (Well okay...all of the "Go Taylor's" was a give away.) All I have to say is how close was that? I think Elliott sang his two best tonight. He was good tonight. Perhaps the pressure was off a bit and he could relax and sing his way. Oh well....Let the final begin. Will it be the entertainer?

It doesn't bother me to know early. I still watch the show. Hey, I have to have something to complain about when the "viewers" pick an inappropriate person to stay or go. I could always look up somewhere else if I really wanted to know the results. I just like reading people's comments in this forum. Comments on the performance: Elliot's 3 songs - too often off-key. He does some good things but that second song...whew...the cat (not KAT) was yowling. Katherine...best song for her last night...Over the Rainbow...last song was as Simon often says...very Karaoke...not her style and inappropriately performed...it didn't have the umph.. Taylor...though a bit pitchy on a couple occasions...by far the best performer to overcome the pitchiness. I agree with PEZ not the best voice but the best performer and I think he will win now that Chris, the other decent performer is gone. Who will stay....Taylor and Kat

Now I am definitely going to have to watch the show.... even if the songs aren't so hot... 1:45 minutes until show time. (Yeah yeah I know...)

I doubt that AI will make it our way. I would agree this has been a year for some very good talent. It was tough trying to figure out who would really go all the way. In the past I could pick 1-2 which usually got booted out towards the end. As far as Chris leaving. I too was shocked. I guess I do not see the appeal for Elliott. He just doesn't seem American Idol material. I do not seeing people purchasing his albums or going to his concerts. His performances and singing ability is okay. McPhee has the looks for the adolescent vote callers to overlook her vocals. (Okay even for a guy just turning 45 soon, she does give me a pain in the neck as I quickly twist my head to watch those popping buttons.) She is talented but..... My man Taylor.... I don't know...I love to watch him sing but am not sure I'd purchase an album...He's a tough call. (My favorite idol of all time was Latoya London a few years ago... she had a good voice, good control but lacked some kiddie appeal.) Oh well....two weeks to go.

Okay the delayed viewing from overseas: I am sorry to say I missed everyone's but Katherine's first song. Katherine...first song pretty good at showing a different side but didn't do much for me...second song.... well...I have to agree with Simon, and my wife said it first...very over done. Chris...I liked the beginning of the second song but at the end it got out of tune a bit. Elliott...sorry I missed the first...but the second was very pitchy and he would go off key when he held out several of his notes. He does little for me. Taylor..second song was pretty good. It still threw in the Taylor growl. From what I saw about the first song and other people comments...that is what makes Taylor Hicks...Taylor Hicks. He just likes to sing and dance his music... However, said all this... when will they STOP sucking up to the camera and just sing their song. AHHhhh Prediction....Elliott...out of the show. I do not think he has the support and the personality to get through. After he goes.. the competition will get really tight. As I said before..I think the best voices are gone..I think there are two performers left..

I have not been envoiced yet but am still interested. Once it gets figured out I will look forward to ordering the coin.

Let me see I am trying to figure the math... there have been several times when the lowest vote getter on AI meant that several of the coin contest winners were also lost. If you started with 24 I would think that the actual number left in the coin competetion is pretty low. My gamble is that the winner will get quite a few coins..... Are there less people still in the coin competition than on the show....hmmm. Looking at the comments it will be pretty close to dead even.

Ahhh...I would have lost if I had been chosen to enter the contest on voice alone. Well at least with the songs that were sung as groups numbers the solidness of the voices is in question...really pitchy. Still best performer...Taylor Hicks...the best consistent voices are all gone...happens every year.

Gridlox...BeeGees? Ahhhh. I like their music (older and newer - SNF) about as much as fingernails scraping a blackboard. They rank with ACE. I am going to get hate mail now...aren't I.. Okay I will really stick my neck to get chopped off and say Aaron Neville is in that group. I brought that up since it came up in a conversation with my wife..."it just ain't natural." LOL. Well... down to five. Who is next? Who would win if you did not have the opportunity to watch them perform but based your whole evaluation on only what you could hear? My vote would be split between Paris and Katherine. If I had to vote for a performer? Tayler and Chris (Though I am getting tired of the performers, nearly all of them, singing to the camera...just sing the song as if it was a message you really want ot get out to the world. Let the camera work the performer not the other way around). That, of course, leaves Elliott in the middle. I don;t know what to think of him. Okay crew...who would you vote for if you did not have the chance to watch their performance?

Wow, we just finished watching here in the land of the rising sun...well our sun has just set. But...over all impression. Chris .... after listening to the replay clip at the end...he could be one of the bottom three performances for the night. Paris...beautiful vocals..not a thrilling performance but she has that little jazzy smoky aspect to her voice that makes the style fit her well. I would listen to the recording but not keen on the performance. Taylor...had me scared in the beginning...then he brought it on. I do not think he will make it as the American Idol but he is the only one that sings from the heart week after week. (The others are just performing songs...Taylor makes the music his own) Elliot....love the song... a ho-hum performance nothing to write home about....yawn... Kellie....sorry Kellie...regardless of what she said...she was off pitch too often. From the point where she got away from the musicshe began to... changed her whole expression and she knew she was in trouble and it kept getting worse. Ace...please let this be the week...I am afraid it won't be but cant we wish good thoughts...come on America...grabs those q-tips and clean out your ears and close your eyes while he "sings"... you can't seriousy think he should be here week after week. Katherine...I got shivers when she started.. beautiful song and performance. I don't think it was the best performance of the night but if America takes the q-tips out of their ears and opens their eyes, she should be in the hunt still. Bottom three....... I love reading this before it even shows on the Armed Forces TV. We always get taoed delay. This is one of the only shows we get "almost" live. We always get the show about 13-14 hours later than the east coast. Paris, Taylor and Chris had to get down to the top 3. These three are genuine musical performers. Lisa could sing but lost her style as the show progressed. Ace has GOT TO GO! I justr cannot sing consistantly. Everytime I have watched he has been off key but plays the sex appeal peace well. Can't wait...Paula the flower child...drinking again huh.... She and Ace? Hmmmm.

I have had no complaints with CH Quality Coins. They have been easy to work with and very communicative with me. Phone calls would made have made our communication even easier. We communicated only be email and everything worked ou pretty decently.

Beyond the grammar, my greatgrandfather was one of the doctors stationed at Ellis island for several years. Somewhere I have a set of images showing him inspecting patients as they entered and in the hospital beds. I have never been there yet. It was not opened for many years and just a few years after it opened I moved over seas.
