The K-C4

We are using a Garmin GPSmap76. After 3 years of printing cache descriptions today I was able to download for the first time. Why I haven't figures it out before is beyond me. But, naturally this doesn't tell us anything about the cache. Parking, size etc. A friend told me to get an inexpensive palm pilot but I have no clue what kind, what I wold need if this is the only thing I would be using it for. HELP PLEASE?

Again I must state that we are new to Benchmark Hunting and don't know about all the databases available. We have recently come across a USGS Benchmark. Is there any place to log this find? US Geological Survey Benchmark Elev. Above SL 532' 6WSM 1951 Any help is appreciated. Thanks

We are new to geochaching and have recently started to look for Benchmarks. We have started are search with the Benchmarks that have been recently found and by several "regulars". However, we have noticed Benchmarks in the general area as others but have no logs; either found or not found. We assumes that if the "regulars" have not found it that it isn't there. Assuming that the benchmarks is not on private property is is worth our time to try to find it?

We are very new to geocaching and while browsing the Forum for the first time I thought I'd share our thoughts on this the other day. We were doing an easy find at an Interstate Service Plaza. There weren't too many people around at the time so our approach to the cache was easy. But we wondered want we may have looked like to someone as we approached an out of the way area with some sort of equipment in our hands as we bent down to retrieve the cache. This was the day after the bombings in London. We expected to hear police sirens as we walked away.
