fi67 thx for your quick reply. It's simple DON'T USE Parking Coordinates in any old (remove the variables) or new Categories. Then that E/W problem is solved.

I have viewed more then 1500 Dutch WM last 2 weeks because of my goal. See my forum posting: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=331792 Almost all Dutch WM with posted parking coordinates are wrong because of the BUG. The WM is in the East and the Parking is in the West. So putting Park Coordinates is not working to use the variables in your category. Some Categories use a one line variables to fill in the coordinates. That works perfect. Grtz John.

Hi, I never use the map in the right upper corner on Waymarking. Only to check the E/W BUG with my first look at it. I prefer the Leaflet map because it makes for me the site faster. What i do when i'm reviewing a waymark: First start up Google Earth then Waymarking. I always use Google Street View. There are many ways to search with it. If Street View is not available, I often use the icons near the Waymark. Bing Maps Bird's eye is sometimes a little sharper. I also have some atlases and paper maps for control. And Google is your friend, and of course fellow officers in the Category to ask there opinion about the Waymark. But when reviewing is a problem, then it is an error in the rules in the Category to post a Waymark. Always ask for a second photo of the Waymark including the environment. I declined 2 ANWB Paddenstoelen this week, I see them on Street View and on my Paper Maps BUT the posting rule is: Post a second picture including the environment. This also makes it easier for all the reviewers. Grtz John.

But after i changed one i must give a reason why i would changed it. I press submit and ?????? I click the WM again and don't see the correction. Also the edit Waymark button is locked now. Can you explain whats happen now with this WM. Is it going now in a sort of re review in that category? John

Hi to all. If you are a Leader in international categories on WM please help me. At this moment of writing, there are 8786 DUTCH Waymarks posted on Waymarking. But there are still 1008 DUTCH Waymarks that has NON state/province selected in theme, only country name Netherlands. Last week i fixed more then 500 of the Dutch WM and gave theme back there state/province. I started with the category Clocktowns, Thx to BruceS. After that i fixed the Dutch WM in the category: Windmills, Train Stations& Depots, Fire Fighting Vehicles. Thx to the Leaders montythemule, TheBeanTeam & ChapterhouseIncin in these Categories. All above Leaders Promoted me, after my mail, to the status of Officer with edit permissions. After I fixed theme in these Categories I quit as an Officer, some after 2 hours some after 2-3 days. I send a mail to other Leaders but that isn't working, my mailbox get not an answer There are more Categories on Waymarking with this problem. So I post this request now in the forum with the question to you as a Leader of making me an temporary Officer. There are only 1008 to be fixed and for me it's no problem. I Think they need Officers Attention lumbricus maybe something for you?

I found one yesterday, it was a very beautiful Tree Avenue length 300mtr from the main road to a Church. I Prefer if something is standing at the end of the Avenue It's in my back up of the hard disk maybe ready for posting later. Find two officers and then you can make a front page that shows how it will look. Grtz John.

Sorry to say RakeInTheCache but I personaly don't like it. Commercial places I only post or visit, once or twice, for a icon in the category grid. And the comments on the WM Forum are the last time for commercial WM that they were only accepted in the early days of WM. And today it's a sandwich shop an then it's empty for months an then it's a flower shop because they nothing more can earn. For example, Lidl & Mediamarkt (many, many, many, many stores in Europe) and many other commercial Categories won't be accepted on WM anymore but these stores are there for ever, year after year, on the location where they are started. I saw there was a change in the Category Grid. Category Belgium Benchmarks is changed from 1079 to 1080 and the latest category Graves of Unusual Deaths is after the Peer Review last days new on 1079. The typo is on the Category Grid page and it says for me: Grid Count: 139 of 1060 But I count 1080. Another question, why says the homepage of Waymarking at this moment: resently there are 602950 waymarks worldwide, listed in 1082 user-created categories. I see 1080 icons in the grid not 1082. So missing 2 categories. Grtz John.

It's not only happing sometimes in category search but in all of them. - waymark search - category search - group search - scavenger hunt search Google is my friend and I put always Waymarking also in the searchline. Especially when I'm on my way for WM. Then it's the fastest way to search for something on the Waymarking site.

After the category on Waymarking of the U.S, English, French, German etc etc Monuments it is now time for The Dutch ones. The new category: Rijksmonumenten - Dutch National Monuments More then 61,000 Heritage National Monuments in The Netherlands controlled by the Dutch government and published in a free database.
