When the batteries get a little low or when we do not push a key for awhIle my explorist shuts off and will not turn back on for 48 hours. If we use the "power off" selection it does not happen. HOW CAN WE GET THIS UNIT TO TURN BACK ON?

Thanks, but I resolved the problem by using a hard eraser and scrubbing the positive terminals..Will now keep one in my geopack.

We have this unit about one year with limited use. Today we found 19 caches, stopped for lunch, turned the unit off and then it would not turn back on. Changed batteries several times, checked the terminals, pushed all the buttons, nothing. Any ideas?
